And we have a kicker, and a football team. Liked the play calling, the D showed up. Great night in Utah, plenty of Crown and Cokes, NIU flag flying, and Huskies rolling the Rodents. Have a great Sunday Huskie Nation, enjoy this one. Side note, we beat Gophers by the same number as USC did, not bad....
I actually had to take a walk to burn off some positive energy....felt good for a change. Overall an extremely well played game by NIU. NIU was able to overcome its two major errors, Special Teams Fumble by Hopkins(?) and the roughing the passer call on the int (which I have to say was the correct call.)

Chad Spann = Beast, and I think the combo of Harnish/Spann could be something special.

well said, I agree. Spann is just amazing if he hits a hole, he is gone.
and what appeared to be a legitimate gameplan for the 1st time this year

Great point, I knew we had a gameplan once we started throwing the ball right from the get go.
Overall a good performance. But the defense is still underperforming this year. I have expected more. We gave up some garbage time yardage last night, but we still gave up 470 yards of offense to a bad team. That's not good. I really think we rotate too many players in and out. There's something to be said for keeping people fresh, but is it worth it when you're bringing in less talented players? Make no mistake, the guys can get just as tired running sprints on and off the field with too much subbing as they would in game action.
I liked the strategy of rotating players especially against a team that outweighs us. We did not get worn down at all and I have often seen that happen to MAC teams against BCS teams. The MAC team plays right with them in the first half and it gets away from them as they get worn down in Q3 and Q4.
Glad to see more positive people here and on the Toledo board. Hope everything goes well....... atleast some what03-banghead

Have a great week
