Just reported by BearcatLair.

At least the staff is acknowledging that there is a problem with the offensive line and trying to do something to fix it.

But will this help, and can you judge the results off the Oklahoma game?

moving Cobb to the position that he can actually play will surely help. Its better than having him be the anti-block out there on the right side
Can't get any worse. I wouldn't mind seeing Cobb firmly planted on the bench, but apparently our options are limited.
Can Uh get and Uh-Men from da con-gragation, brothas n' sistas?

I heard somebody call him a "swinging door" during the Fresno St game.
The fact that it took until the fourth game to work this out is, to me, concerning if not inexcusable.
Now lets get some help on the left side (other than keeping the TE in to help Sam Griffen) and a center and we are all set.
I'm not that quick to hammer Kelce at C. None of his snaps vs. NCS were bad. Those were all on Zach, dropping the ball.
My problem with Kelce is not the snaps. The blocking schemes are QB'd by the center at the line and either the calls or the communication stinks right now.

Absolutely that is the big question. We went through Spring practice and 5 weeks of camp...and we're doing this after 3 games? Very concerning that this is being done so late......if it indeed helps. It definitely gives the "appearance" of making adjustments......but it then indicts the judgement that went into the original decision even further.
It may, it may also indict the lack of options that were available.

Our offensive line probably looks good against our defensive line. I feel like our defensive ends have been a non-factor to date. Brandon Mills looks ineffective at DE, when he seemed to be damn good as an interior lineman. If any pressure comes from our front it seems to be coming from Wolfe and Hughes...
I can't look at the depth chart, anytime I try to open the PDF file my browser crashes. Can someone take a look at the game notes to check for me. I assume the lineup will go.

LT: Griffin
LG: Martinez
C: Kelce
RG: Cobb
RT: Hoffman

Can anyone verify or refute that?
Still has Hoffman RG, Cobb, RT.

But, these game notes don't mean squat really.
I think it is pretty safe to say that the starting line for the rest of the year barring injury will be LT Griffen, LG Martinez, C Kelce, RG Cobb, RT Hoffman. It was a much more stable, functional group tonight. It wasn't great, but at least they could execute the offense.
O line looked MUCH better. Congrats to the O Line and to the coaching staff.

Yep, I hope after last night a few more people will realize that patience is needed with the staff and the young players.

I think most people realize that, the crowd last night is a pretty good indication of the patience that most people have right now with the program. But there is that loud and moronic minority that started the Fire Butch Jones rhetoric pretty quickly after the Fresno State game, those people have no comprehension of the concept of patience, that's what makes them such a joy to discourse with.

Excellent post from you both. The fan base here has some NFL influence, so it's not uncommon to see a little bit of that. Miami-FL, even in its great years, had its share of that.
Obviously it's tough just watching the game as a fan of the team on TV, but as I look back I wonder if Hoffman was the UC MVP of the game yesterday. In any event, it was clearly the best effort from OL this year. They can win with that type of consistent performance.
