Reading the Dem-Gaz last week, I could hardly believe what I was reading. As I understand it, uaf cut a deal with Louisiana-Monroe whereby ULM a cup-cake would be declared the Home Team for 2 reasons. 1. It would enable ULM to count attendance toward requirements to remain a D-1 football program. 2. ULM would agree to a reduced guarantee for visiting Little Rock. I'm confused. Does the home team get a guarantee? Never mind that ULM is not even in this State, It is some 200 miles from Little Rock. Why not make such a deal with Arkansas State or Central Arkansas. So, If Monroe, La is not supporting their team, maybe they could play all their home games here in Little Rock. That way, Little Rock would have a local football team without all the expenses that go with it. Does this make any sense at all? For
sure, never underestimate the ingenuity of hogism.
Just doing their part to help out a Sun Belt team.
