Since we have decided to simplify our offense (), some one needs to make a giant sign, get a few buddies to help, and sit on the visitors side of the stadium. On every third down it should be held up so the coaches (both teams) in the press box can see what the fans are thinking.

That sign should read:

Here comes the Draw.

Great idea, hilarious fan statement under the circumstances. I'm planning to bring a sign to the game myself, but I'm not sure what I'm going to put on it yet, a reference to Mike Leach, Jimbo Fisher, the OCS or Callaway himself are things I'm pondering at this moment...I'll be civil about it, but brutally honest at the same time...I'll still down with doing something near that "Bahr" statue, too.

Im in, maybe even put that Helton calls for the draw more than Clint Eastwood ever did.

Your sign idea reminds me of Kevin Costner's character in "BULL DURHAM" who tips off the batter that "a deuce is coming". I really don't think they need our help on that one though.

I will be watching Troy's D line and LBs to see if the latter starts "cheating up" to form a "7 or 8 in the box" at any time during the game as FAU did in the 2nd half. Their "4-4-3" became essentially an "8-3" in the 2nd half. Wonder why the draw and other runs didn't work? I still don't know how many of those run plays were called from the sideline and how many were the result of David's insecurity about his passing "game".

I have thought that the coaches only call the draw about half as much as we run it. The other half is when David bailed out on the pass too early.

kids usually perform in the manner they are trained and/or allowed.

How about we print up a bunch of "D" signs like we would do for 3's in basketball or K's in baseball. Everytime we run the draw just flip over another D. I bet you could just about black a section of seats with how many times we run it during the season.

That is criminally bad coaching and playcalling. See, the way it works is that if there are eight or more guys in the box, you PASS!. I'm not sure our OC ever heard about that one, so I guess he'd call a QB draw.

He does it half the time anyhow, why should it be any different if you're running into eight or nine guys?

I know that Schumann has attracted a lot of anger and derision over the last couple of years, but Kim Helton has caused me more anger, frustration and sour stomach than anything our defense has, with the exception of the 28 second SMU drive and the first half vs SMU here last season.

I asked the quesstion last year: Was our offense designed to exploit Joe's talents (for which the Heltons deserve credit) or was our offense Joe taking chicken poo and making chicken salad (for which they don't)?

The answer is becoming clearer every day.
