Attendance poor across the conference for those MAC's hosting games..

Ohio (19,455)
W.Michigan (19,327)
N.Illinios (18,046)
Temple (15,152)
Miami (12,857)
Akron (10,046)
Ball St (9,110)

-Ball State is averaging less than 10,000 this season. That is with 2 early season games. Wait until we get into late October....

-Akron's numbers have got to be a big dissapointment with a shiny new on campus stadium. The alledged reason why Akron couldn't draw in the past was the Rubber Bowl. The Akron alumni just must not be interested, their are only 70,000 of them within a 30 minute drive of the stadium.

03-phew
Cold and raining in Kalamazoo.
Warm and sunny and we would have had another 10K.
I don't know what the deal is with NIU. From my vantage point Huskie Stadium looked almost full. I thought it looked like 23,000 so I was actually kind of surprised. I wonder if NIU has changed the way they count attendance from the days when we averaged 24,000 a game.

It looked packed on the webcast, had to be over 20,000!

Beat Thursday night. If we played CMU on Saturday, rather than the Thursday ESPN moved it to, we were looking at 8K+ more.
What is the actual capacity of Huskie Stadium? Is it 24K or 31K? I keep reading and hearing varying reports on the stadium's capacity, and I know the overall structure of the stadium has not changed in awhile. Sorry to crash this thread, just wanted some clarification because I am an attendance stat dork.

It's definatley not 31. I don't know what the actual number is but it's closer to 24 than 31.

Maybe 8k in attendance but nobody else in the country sees it without ESPN.

I would rather have it on Sat. and on ESPN3.com/local ABC/MyPHL17 with much better attendance.

24K now. Although the exact same configuration was 28K just a few short years ago. None of us know where the 4K seats were lost either.

We were 31K with an alternate configuration in the 80's and early 90's when the NCAA mandated all 1-A stadiums have at least 30K for capacity.
We've had attendances in the 27-28k range with the current set up, but that's because the students cram the East grandstands.

It is 25,500. The west stands hold 15,000 and the east stands hold 10,500. The drop from the 28,000 number was the elimination of the north bleachers for the Yordon Center.
I think the product speaks for itself. MAC football isn't very good right now. The sad truth but it is what it is.

No. Official seating was 28K long after the north bleachers were gone. Official seating now is 24K, not 25,500.
i wish people would quit about our attendance.we are coming off three

losing seasons.we are 0-2 with our last loss to a d-1aa team.

we have the highest ticket prices in the mac.tell me any mac team

where people pay $20 dollars for gen admission.$20.00 dollars is the

cheapest ticket in the stadium.then you get to watch

your team lose to 1-aa gadner webb.i doubt if any mac team would

draw fans given these issues.if /when the team wins fans will show up.
