....SMU is an easy l5 minute drive from where I live. So a couple of questions. First, how many of your fans will make the trip. I have been to a few Memphis-SMU games, and we usually had maybe 250-300 people there. Not a lot, but some.

Second, not familiar with you guys this year. Anyone I should watch for and keep an eye on, especially on the offensive side of the ball?

You had a tough first game, but will probably be okay. Tigers are going to have to struggle for a year or two until we can build back up.

Last, what are thoughts on the game? SMU played Texas Tech tough, and would seem to be the favorite, though I don't know what the line is. Can you come out with a win here if you play well?

Thanks! Good luck, I'll be watching!

Wear a UAB shirt and a paper bag over your head for me. Thanks.

Going to scout out UM's best chance at a win this season?
I would think we will have <100 there...mostly it will be players' families.

Despite the debacle a week ago, I think the Blazers have a chance to win if they can win the battle of turnovers. Padron threw 3 INTs last week against TT. Our defense looks improved, but ultimately it's hard to know how good (or bad) FAU is.

On the offensive side of the ball, we're continuing to be a run-first team. Isabelle (our new QB) rushed for 200+ last week. Our running backs, led by Pat Shed, look good as well. Personally, I would like to see Ellis (a pocket passer) get a go at it in a series or two this weekend.

Guys to watch on Offense
--QB-17-David Isabelle-
---Likes to run like Joe Webb and ran for over 200 yards last week, although his passing game leaves much to be desired so far.

--WR
---After the first week I would be tempted to say nobody because it was pretty dismal how many catches were dropped. Trying to stay positive I will say to keep an eye on #7(Frantrell Forrest) based on past years performances and hoping he steps it back up this year. He also returns kickoffs and has shown to be quite dangerous in that aspect.
Also, #16 Patrick Hearn. He knocked Forrest off the number one spot on the depth chart this year as a freshman, so he has to have shown some pretty good skills, so hopefully the passing game will step up against SMU.

TE-86-Jeffrey Anderson
---Although we stupidly only threw one pass at him last week, he has been on pre-season watchlists for NFL prospects and is a legitimate threat if we actually decide to use him this game.

RB-26-Pat Shed
---JUCO RB that has shown some real potential, especially if he gets into the open field. He is also our punt returner and if he gets a couple of blocks, I wouldn't be surprised to see him take it all the way back.

Other Notable Points to watch
---CB-2-TJ Ballou-had a great week last week and should be pretty dangerous all year.
---Safeties-32-Atwater--He is returning this week after suspended last week for team rules. He is a ball-hawk, and can hit and hit hard. Having him back will help a lot. If you like some good hits, he is the man to watch
---Punter-Strangely enough I'm listing our punter, but he was pounding the ball last week, in all but one punt. He had their returner running way backwards every time.
The line is SMU (-12)
Welcome to an SMU game ADallasTiger. Join us well before the game on the Boulevard. There will be plenty of food and drink and we don't mind what team you support. The one 'issue' is the ground may be a bit messy after all the rain so wear appropriate footwear.

We are excited about our team this year though we too don't know exactly what we have yet. Our O-line and D-line were much improved against TTU. We played pretty close ball against a much larger, more athletic and greater depth team than us. And did it on the road in an oven like environment.

Padron, our QB looked terrible the first half but considerable better the second half. Our D front 7 is the best we have had in decades. Not huge but athletic and all run to the ball.

UAB will present some challenges for us with a running QB.

The one advantage we have over last year is UAB's best scoring weapon, our former QB, will not be in uniform Saturday night. He has transferred.
