I found this thread and thought it was worth posting here for those that might have some interest.

I realize that most of it is copy/pasted articles, but its consolidated in one place. The news is a bit dated, but I found a lot of things I was completely unaware of.
that thread hasn't been updated since november of last year…
and it's just articles copied and pasted from local papers' websites.

???

sorry, not trying to be rude, but i work for a paper and advertisers pay by impressions, so it's a little like stealing to me when someone just copies and pastes our content on another website.

i read an article about a lawyer somewhere who is making a very good living suing people for posting newspaper/magazine content on message boards. apparently links are ok, but copy and paste is not.

it was good to see that Loeb is coming up with a plan to develop Overton Square in yesterday's CA. As a midtown resident I would love to see the square booming again, but I'll believe it when I see it.
the overton square news definitely softened the blow of the cvs decision. i hope loeb has the right priorities — i'm ok with what they did at union and belvedere but i really hope they can keep the square's facade in tact. that's just me though.

I've lived in midtown for the last 6 years and I still don't understand why folks want to halt economic progress to keep old, outdated, unused and decrepit buildings.

Stifling growth is DUUUUUUUUUUUUUMBAH!
that's why i just said "facade."
