The most logical team to join the MAC is probably Idaho. Geographically, it stinks for all parties, but we want to keep that tie to the Humanitarian Bowl in Boise and Idaho would be a good way of keeping that relationship alive. They've played three MAC games the last 3 years (4 if you count the bowl game against BGSU). They're getting better...but would probably run winless OOC and about .400 in conference.

La. Tech has been pretty prideful in the past. C-USA will be their desired destination, but C-USA is not interested (unless Houston or UTEP join MWC). They wont join the Sun Belt, but with Dooley not serving as AD anymore they may see the writing on the wall.

I really think the relationship with the bowl could be a clincher IF Idaho and Humanitarian Bowl push it.

Your thoughts?
Way too much travel even for football

How does Idaho have any relation to the Humanitarian Bowl? The H Bowl is played in Boise, some 300 miles from the University of Idaho.
I think if we had to take just any WAC charity-case outlier if Hawaii chose indy and broke the WAC, Utah St would be ahead of Idaho. If the MWC chose to invite USU first based on their athletics and facilities I'd think the MAC would take them. The school's profile fits the MAC better and the school's distance from Salt Lake City International would made travel less arduous than getting to Moscow. Although their basketball is what's attractive, their football has some upside.
If we're talking about Idaho, then why don't we also talk about adding SJSU, Hawaii, and Toronto? 01-wingedeagle
I paid a worker at New York's zoo to re-open it just for me and Robin. When we got to the gorilla cage there was 1 big silverback gorilla there just bullying all the other gorillas. They were so powerful but their eyes were like an innocent infant. I offered the attendant $10,000 to open the cage and let smash that silverback's snotbox! He declined.
