Instead of making thread after thread telling us that you are:
1) Leaving the board
2) Upset about the way this board has evolved
3) Delivering the gospel
Why dont you just do it? I bet some of you were the same people sitting there saying "Why doesnt LeBron just make his decision? He doesnt need a tv segment for it." Probably also called him childish and immature. Yet a bunch of you come in here and deliver some sort of public address about what you like and dont like about this board and then act like youre some kind of martyr for taking some time off. Maybe if you tranquil posters would stop taking time off then this place wouldnt seem like its full of crazies. I dont shiv a git if you stay or leave so pick one. If you stay, bring something to the table. If you leave, good riddance. I leave this board for one damn weekend and the first three topics I get to read when I get home from an awesome trip are asking for someone to be banned because hes not blowing sunshine up everyones ass and two about how people are taking some time away because they dont like the state of affairs. Let all do this at our jobs for the next little bit. Everytime something happens we dont like lets just tell our bosses we are taking some time away until he gets his **** straight. The juvenile, hypocritical behavior is running rampant around here. Everyone get a beer, roll a joint, or take part in whatever vice you choose to lift your spirits and enjoy this board for what it is. End Rant

Great post! It appears to me at times there is a real disconnect between some generations on here. We older guys don't tweet about how we feel or what we are eating or any other of the instant messaging type comments. I taught for 30 years and watched generations change from a longer substantive examination of some issue to an instant like/dislike, move on to the next, I'm bored reaction. I guess I still remember all too well after I moved to the woods of Middle Tennessee not being able to ever watch a game on tv, hear it on radio, or even get a final score without making a long distance call. I just appreciate the hell out of hearing/reading information as soon as this board makes it available.
