No, its not an AIrportKC or JHG delusion- some guy from SI actually paints a scenario for this.

Argument could be made, I suppose, for whomever wins the MAc fi they take out some BCS teams on the way and win out in the MAC. So, I say "Go Temple! Beat PSU!"

Because Stewie's not a Bobcat or Owls fan.......he's a Chip fan......duh! 03-wink
Because I go to Temple, not Northwestern.
You guys have heard of Stewart Mandel, right?

some more Temple love...draft style...

NFL Draft
After they lose to Villanova for a second straight year then you can flush this wishful idea down the toilet!

I have now.
I hope it happens. As a MAC fan living in Philly, I can't imagine how much fun it would be for the invincible Nittany Lions to lose to not only a MAC football team, but Temple. Love. It.

You realize of course, that hoping that it happens means you hope that BG loses in the East. I fully understand that line of thought but due to your previous, long-term confusion about where BG should stand in the overall scheme of things, I was somewhat surprised at this moment of clear, logical and correct thinking.
I think its more of a hope of a Sept 25th TEmple win against PSU then an October 16th win first BG... and Lets all be honest ... we are all still enjoying this article...

and really looking forward to the game finally being played again this year...

YSU = YoungstownSt (you're not much of a football fan, I take it.)
Ever heard of Jim Tressel?

Well, BG doesn't get many opportunities to beat the Penn State's of the world and he'd like to see a MAC team besides "Bancroft High" beat them. God knows, the "BGSU" Falcons aren't going to anytime soon. So now Karl's a Temple fan. Ouch, VE- you got a long memory! 03-lmfao

And it would be an equally great day to see the Owls take it to the Nittany Lions...04-cheers
For that matter, also, for any MAC team to take it to a bcs school this fall...
How's this for a scenario?
Temple takes down UConn and UConn wins the Big East.
Temple takes down Penn State and PSU wins the Big 10.
Temple takes care of business in the MAC and Nova.
I'd love to blow up that BCS computer with those numbers.

Not a slam on you, but that scenario has about as much chance as Webster changing the word, "riDICulous" to "riCOCKulous!"
If Temple some how goes 13-0
and leap frogs Boise & TCU in the polls
add qulifies for BCS berth
Temple would play Fla [ouch] in sugar bowl
