ASU's Donald Boone, who led the team in scoring in the 08-09 season only to play only 4 minutes last year before tearing his ACL, was granted his 6th season of eligibility today.

Boone is still rehabbing the ACL, and will now focus soley on rehab so he can be ready to play by November. He will join Jeremy Thomas as the last remaining recruits signed by Dickey Nutt...

Color me shocked. the NCAA made a decision in our favor. I honestly wasnt a huge fan of his chances

Definitely good news for the Sun Belt and Arkansas State. Hope Boone can return to form.
Good for ASU, good for the league.

The West just got that much tougher. Your ceiling is still 14-2 in the Belt next year, though. 03-razz
Awesome news.

yeah youre right. UALR is good for 1 victory a year over us and we still have to play at Denver...05-mafia
I've always liked Boone and his game. Good news for Brady to get him back after losing Reed and Strowbridge.

Since UNT rolls over like a puppy dog when facing ASU in basketball, who are the two losses?

That's some bold smack. Inaccurate, but bold.

Swept you guys in 2008-09. Swept you guys in 2007-08 (and ended your season with the 3rd win of the sweep). Ended your season in 2006-07.

When it comes to rolling over... Let me say congrats to the Wolves for finally snapping their 6 game losing streak to NT last year.

The new streak starts in January, though.
So you are saying UNT won't be as good this year?

I never thought I'd be in a smack fight with arkstfan 03-razz

Are people here allowed to jaw at each other without mentioning something to do with the state of Louisiana? I need a moderator ruling.

Oh my bad. 03-drunk
arkstfan must be in the likker....i've never seen him talk smack.

i've seen him condescending but he can't help that in his line of work.

before you know it he'll be posting one line wise@ss responses like 'the borracho'

back to the louisiana subject.....i used to think...man, you're in the same conference...you're in-state together....pull for each other except when you play each other....

then i put myself in their shoes picturing murray state in our conference and i totally get it.

p.s. arkstfan....don't give me both barrels for the 'condescending' statement....i don't know if my fragile psyche can handle full blown.
I believe at least one Louisiana smack must be brought into every argument not involving Louisiana teams. Tis the rule

Bonus smack points awarded for bringing in one of these several points into the argument

1. the UL vs ULL debate

2. Western Kentucky Football

3. North Texas Baseball

4. Denver Hockey
Most of the 3.75 million people driving past Fouts without stopping think UL is in Kentucky. The state of Kentucky is where WKU invited basketball but is currently preparing for a redo of its Sun Belt football dominance tour because they did win the I-AA championship and Gateway football was better than Sun Belt football. Those people would stop if UNT were committed to sports and added baseball which would instantly be as good as Denver hockey, UL(M)@LR water skiing or Arkansas State bowling. The problem is its hard to hear the talk because the Troy band which includes 22.4% of the population of Pike County is busy playing. Howard Schnellenburger would offer his opinion but he's busy doing a halftime interview on an ESPN UL (KY) telecast and FIU's Isiah Thomas is unavailable because he's in NY with his other team.
