I see on the updated official UT Men's Basketball Roster that MoLo is still listed. Has anyone been at open gym the past week to see if he has begun playing with his teammates again? Also, when is their 2010-11 schedule going to be released? I'm curious to see what type of nonconference schedule Coach K has put together for his young inexperienced team.

When and where is open gym? I went last week and there were no baskets set up at Savage and the practice gym was empty- I'm guessing they're playing mostly in the practice gym now? Anyway I'd love to see some of the new guys-I've heard nothing to indicate that MoLo's suspension isn't over.
The guys have been playing after the women and most of the playing has been in the Fetterman facility. The girls play until 4:30 then the guys take over.

The above times have been holding true for Monday's and Wednesdays. The Friday times are anybody's guess.

The games have been in Fetterman because of volleyball camps in Savage Arena.

Oh, I haven't seen MOLO doing any playing, nor have I seen him lurking in the gym.
yeah late afternoon is when i caught them. it's a casual semi-closed gym atmosphere. meaning if you are invited or seem like you belong in the building nobody minds. but if you need directions to the gym or wouldn't know what to say if asked what you're doing there, then probably don't go.

I explained this theory to my daughter the other day as we wwandered around Savage. If you're not supposed to be there act like you are and know the names of two people- if anyone asks you're going to see one of them and if the person asking is one of the people then give him/her the other name. Works pretty well.

By the way- are we getting an NCAA Women's first round game at Savage in the near future?

I tried that but I panicked and said Trixie Cullop and Gene Cross.

I have used the old, act like you belong trick to get into the lobby restrooms of some of the finest five star hotels.
Molo isn't worth the trouble since he's a senior eligibility-wise.

He's not a team player IMO. He's had fewer than 10 assists in the 3 years he's been on the team. That's an all-time low even for a low post player. The black hole of UT basketball. What goes into the post shall never come out. I believe that's a MoLo law of physics.

Go Rockets!
also if you're season ticket holder, alumni, etc... you can always go and talk to the ticket office for a tour of the new buildings. i think the head woman there is barb, but might have the name wrong. you can also just go and introduce yourself (or say hi, if you already known em) to any of the men's or women's staff. both groups (now that cross is gone) are very approachable and pretty candid about the teams and such. there may even be a small way you can help out or get connected to other program supporters. also, on off hours there's usually a couple points of access to the facilities, but i'm not giving up that exact info.
Roseanne Croop is in charge of the ticket office.
I tour the new Fetterman facility on Sept. 3rd. Something tells me I'll be on campus that day...

I'm not defending MoLo in particular but assists are hard to come by when no one on the team can shoot a mid range jump shot.
We had a post game the last couple of years? We have a center who is more comfortabel shooting 3 pointers than a drop step lay-up.
Anybody look at the finalized OOC. Nice to see games @Illinois,@Temple,Rhode Island,UCinn, and @Alabama
Indiana-Univ.-Northwest -- NAIA team? Why???

Because Lourdes had a scheduling conflict and wasn't available that night.

haha. Thing is, that could be an actual possibility in a few years when they start their sports.
nothing wrong w an occasional breather in a mostly intense schedule. off the top i saw alabama, illinois, cincy, temple, xavier plus underrated programs like charleston, rhode is and unc wilmington and valpo. we will have some losses but also some opportunities for good wins.

What about the makeup of our current team leads you to believe that our game against UPIUFWNbyNW will be a breather?
