ULM @ Little Rock- Thursday, January 13th
Little Rock @ ULM- Saturday, February 12th

I think we need 5 more games and/or a tournament.
I really like the way we are scheduling non-conference now. Every one of those are from neighbouring (intentional) states, and some of them close to the Ark. border.

Probably all winnable games except maybe Miss.

Wow, you're get optimistic. Or maybe not. I guess as long as you're not playing at Duke, Kansas, etc. the game is techically "winnable". All these games look extremely tough to me, but like you said I wouldn't count us out. I'd like to think we have a chance in any home game. Winning at MoState seems the most unlikely to me. We squeaked by ORU, the last 2 years, so beating them again will be tough. If we could beat teams like Tulsa, Tech, and Ole Miss at home that would really help us if any kind of postseason is in the picture. I think Ole Miss is a really key game for us. Beating them would "open the eyes" of many in Central Arkansas that we are a legitimate DI team since the Chickenhawgs have struggled with them for years.

Speaking of postseason, I wonder if Chris would consider going to the CBI or CIT if we win 18 to 20 games. That would be a remarkable turnaround and the kids and coaches would deserve it. I wonder if Chris may have turned down those tournaments 2 years ago because he was so pissed we didn't get into the NIT with 23 DI wins. I would enjoy the season more if I knew we were playing for something (some type of postseason) rather than putting all my eggs on winning 4 games in March.

I certainly hope so.

Why don't some of you who are on good terms with Chris, ask him why he didn't accept a big to one of the tournaments. I think that would be a fair question, and evidently some inquiring minds want to know.

It certainly would be!

If the head knocker thought that after this season that it was OK to go to the CBI or CIT with 18-20 wins, when it wasn't acceptable for a team that had 23 Division I wins, he would just look like a hot headed moron. I would love to see the change in attitude, but the shoe would fit.

I was in the middle of posting that last night and my computer went off line. It's the night before Thanksgiving, so it will probably be a difficult game for me to make, but I wouldn't right it off just yet. You planning on making the trip RBL?

I am giving it serious thought. Guess I could have a late Thanksgiving.

It's only a 4 1/2 hour drive

I drive further than that to race cars for 6 minutes in a day. Who wants to go? (if we are having a ok season or better)

It actually may take less time than that.

I don't agree. If we can't make at least the NIT, then I don't want to go to some jackleg tournament. I know the argument that if it's good enough for Richmond and others, it should be good enough for us, but I guess I'm just not willing to accept that. It's not Little League where even the kids who can't walk and chew bubble gum at the same time receive a feel good award. But at this level, I want to feel that if we go to the postseason, it's with the best. If that's the reason Chris didn't ante up, I have to agree with him on this one. Either get to the "real" postseason, or you're sitting home.04-rock

I guess I'd rather not wait another 20 years for postseason. RPI's in the 80's (may have even been a little better 5 years ago) didn't get us in the NIT. Not sure when, or if, we're going to do much better than that. The CIT seems to have been taylor-made for programs like us- Midmajor who have good records, but don't have the complete resume, name recognition, etc. to get into the NCAA or NIT. We also be competing against teams we could beat- unlike going to the NCAA as a 15th or 16th seed.
