Not that surprising that as of the time of this writing there are a combined ZERO votes for the two non-football playing members.
We don't hop on this board as much as we should. However, since most of the threads are football related, that sadly kinda leaves us out. Here's hoping that we get one some day!

Basketball and baseball seasons usually bring a lot of topics. When basketball starts this fall, I hope to see some more UALR people talking up some bball! 04-cheers
Interesting poll; it's cool to know how many fans there are here. 03-thumbsup
Looks like a good amount of people representing each school.

Well, I guess we know that Denver has one foot out the door. With them gone....what benefit does UALR bring to this conference?

They would be the only non-football playing member in the confernce. Should they join Old Dominion, Lamar, VCU, UT-PA, etc. as previous members. They really don't fit this conference any more...other than perhaps as a travel partner for ASU. 05-stirthepot

That's enough for me. They were here long before FIU and were here before MT as well.

Umm...they've been here since '91, we joined in '98. Now, can we get back to the point, one basketball only member in an 11/12 team conference? We're all spending a fortune trying to keep up with the jones' (i.e. play FBS football). Is UA-LR getting a free-ride? Who are their peers?

And the bulk of their money being focused on basketball is obviously what has them winning the conference annually. 01-wingedeagle
Im not sure why there arent more FAU posters over here. Ive spammed the owlsnest board a few times but other then NCowls the rest havent made it over other then a few here and there that post sporadically.

FAU board is usually pretty lively but its been quite this past week with the holiday and the offseason.
I had an Owl over on the CFN Sun Belt board recently. Kind of surprised me.
This board has grown a good bit. I'm glad to see.

Maybe throw out another thread OwlsNest urging some more FAU fans to hop on over here! Not enough Owl fans on here! 04-cheers
No option for Texas State?

Don't really get your point here. If they don't spend the huge dollars of football (scholarships, infrastrucutre, travel) then why aren't they helping our RPI in hoops more?

I again think they are providing more weight than support to this conference. I think it's beyond time to streamline this conference and then look to expand among our peer-group (i.e. FBS members or solid hoops who have quality FCS programs).
Looks as if they've already been invited to explore other options.
