Since the city is not having a fireworks show this weekend I need to find a spot.

Who has the best show around or should I just buy my own to shoot off?

I'm taking the GF back home to Pickwick to fish the day away, then watch the boom sticks.
Germantown puts on a great show...great area of town, too.

I agree. Germantown does have one of the best shows that I have ever seen.
Where do they have the Germantown show? I like to watch from a distance instead of being right there. Any suggestions?
Collierville always has a pretty good show. Cox Park on Powell Road. Saturday

the set em off at the Germantown Athletic Club in front of a little pond there...you can watch from municipal park...they shut down Exeter rd. and bring out rides and a petting zoo for the kids...park the fire truck so the kids can look at it.

it's all free to the public...
Redbirds vs Round Rock Saturday night. Baseball and fireworks. Now that's American!

When my nieces were a few years younger, we would take them down to one of the parking lots down by the Stern Clinic and watch. Any of those locations at Gtown Pkwy and Wolf River have good views.

That's a shame, I can remember when 100,000 or more would show up and sit on the bluffs and all along Riverside for the fireworks. I seem to remember that FM 100 would simulcast so you could listen on a portable radio, or in your car. My two brothers would always bring their families over for that and a cookout.

So, since I left Memphis, no more softball and no more fireworks?

What's next?
Believe it or not, Munford puts on a GREAT fireworks show as well. It's tomorrow night starting with a concert by the Navy Band at 7:30, fireworks at dusk.

His post is a little confusing. The city (Memphis) is having fireworks, but it's at Handy Park this year instead of Tom Lee Park.

He lives in MS, so I guess the city he lives in isn't doing a show this year.

This post is confusing.

I heard on the news a that the city of Memphis didn't get enough sponsors to fund the fireworks display.

Willie doens't live in MS but he's close.

We always parked in the old KMart/Hobby Lobby parking lot. Put a couple of chairs in the bed of the truck and kick it.
I'm going to watch them at the Hungry Fisherman
Bartlett has a pretty good one.

The one in Southaven or off Sycamore View?
The one off Sycamore View.
The one at Appling and 70 Highway...

Actually is pretty good with jumpers for the kids, rock climbing wall ect...

Parking normally sucks but it is a good show.
