Or I could have headlined it: Which team do you hate the most on your schedule?

Since our history is very short, I'm going to say I am anxious to play and whip UT-San Antonio. Just because their fans are already too arrogant.

Somehow I can't help believing someone will have something to say having something to do with certain cookware of a particular color...

Pot, meet Kettle. But you know what? Every teams fans are arrogant when they're consistently doing well. The one's that aren't doing well whine, *****, and moan about the one's who are. Rest assured, FIU and ASU fans are probably the nicest guys on the board, but if they were in the drivers seat in the conference every year, they'd be pretty arrogant. But I guess you have the right to be if you're winning a boatload of games.

When someone else starts winning the league year in and year old, they will be arrogant as all get out, mark my words.

BTW, I used to live in San Antonia. NICE place, loved it there, the riverwalk is awesome. You should check it out if the game is over there.

Since UNO is still in the Belt for one more day, I will point out that when I was a kid in Mobile rooting for the Jags, beating UNO was a big deal.

But I think South's biggest rival back then was UAB. Nowadays, I guess it would be Troy.
I enjoy beating FIU.

I also enjoy beating Troy, but weve only done that once.

However that was SUCH a sweet win. I still say THAT is the biggest win in FAU's young history. It's the one that got us to our first bowl game and started people beliveing in the program.

OK, Ok, I've repented. The hatchet is buried. I just want to start rivalry thread without too much flaming. Something to pass the time that we may have a little fun with without getting nasty.

yeah, that one is easy. They might not think it is a rivalry and it may not be since we do win every year, but it is nice to win against them year-after-year-after-year... etc...

GO OWLS!
Kentucky Wesleyan or the Arkansas-Monticello Boll Weevils. Complete jerks.

But seriously, it would be Georgia State.

Even more seriously, I guess I have to pick a team that we've already beaten, so I'll say the mighty Hargrave Military Academy Tigers.

This year could be different for a lot of folks. Good possibility MTSU will break the losing streak in the Battle for the Palladium. In the same light, I believe FIU will finally win the Shula Bowl.
as per the topic, MTSU, hands down. If we played Alabama or Auburn, it would be one of them. They're on the upswing though, so it'd be tough to beat them, they'd give us their a-game since we're in state.
Personally, I think there will be a "surprise team" this year, like we were last season.

Who will it be ? Cajuns, FAU, FIU, ULM ?? Phil Steele thinks North Texas

My pick for the darkhorse -- stAte

Nah.....we really aren't like you guys. I realize that's hard for you to grasp, but it's true.

This is my upset of the year in the SBC (ASU over MTSU).....and the Troy fans will owe us BIGTIME.
It's highly unlikely, but that's exactly why I think it'll happen.
In the past few years UNT has enjoyed beating ANYONE.03-banghead Hopefully Phil Steele is correct about this year.04-bow
Although we are several years away from worrying about who will be our biggest rival in the Sunbelt. Right now, though looking at the teams currently in the conference, MTSU will become our biggest rival with Troy close behind.
Used to be UNT, but that is getting old. I would have to say Troy at this point. It's been a while since we got the "W" against the Trojans.
