Quinn is getting them in earlier than Gill did (or reporting them earlier)...

#1 John Kling: OL from Depew (Outside of Buffalo)

Kling is the first player to give a verbal commitment to UB for the 2011 recruiting class and is also one of 15 Western New York players who have been offered scholarships by coach Jeff Quinn and his staff. Under Quinn and recruiting coordinator Ernest Jones, the Bulls have made over 40 offers to players who are primarily from New York, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Ohio, Florida and Georgia. -- Rodney McKissic, Buffalo News

#2 Jesse Back: OL from Cincinnati

“Jesse went to U.C.’s camp last summer. I guess he did really well and Jeff Quinn really liked him. So, when Coach Quinn got the job, you know, Jesse was one of the first guys he contacted.” -- Lasalle High School Football Coach Tom Grippa

#3 Pat Williams: Ft. Lauderdale

"I was going to wait but I might as well say it, I'm coming to Buffalo. A lot of people from Fort Lauderdale don't know about Buffalo but it's a good school with a great staff. My major is going to be International Business and Buffalo has one of the top business programs in the country." Pat Williams

Can't go wrong with making OL and DL priorities...Golden did the exact same thing when he arrived at Temple.
Joe Licata, had an offer from Syracuse but the Orange Pulled it after he took too long to decide. He also had interest from NC and an offer from Akron.

“It felt right, everything felt right,” Licata told The Buffalo News on Monday. “I liked the coaching staff, it’s a really good place. It was the best fit for, especially because I’ll be able to play in front of my family and friends.’’ -- Joe Licata to the Buffalo News

Licata's Williamsville south offense runs many spread formations and in that offense and he piled up 2,462 yards and 36 touchdowns against just nine interceptions. Licata is the fourth Commitment for this years class and the second from Western New York.

Huge get, UB now has four Quarterbacks coming in this year and one next... Should be set back there awhile..

not sure about the OL part..... 2008 would have been a much better year if you had -1- more OL....losing the QB because of poor OL play is/was not good. That DL...impressive....

Penn State had one of the top DLines in the country. They had 7 sacks: Three from Navorro Bowman who is on the 49ers, and two from Aaron Maybin who is on the Bills (11th pick in 2009).

That Temple OLine was R-Jr., R-Sr., R-Sr., R-Sr., Fr., and Jr. at TE. It wasn't a remotely bad or inexperienced OLine. It wasn't their fault DiMichele got hurt--he injured his shoulder on a pretty nasty takedown on one of the 7 sacks.
