Are the Chips now the elite program in the MAC?

it seems the verbals are falling as follows:
1). Those who get offered and accept BCS offers,
2). The CMU is getting prime consideration of the 'best of the rest',
and 3). other schools will fight for the remainder.
It does seem that CMU has acquired the reputation of a 'blue chip' non-BCS football program.
They have been up for a number of consecutive years that they have don't have the reputation of a BSU, WMU, UT, etc. of being up and down program.
