USA +145 Ghana +185

A lot of this is based on the fact that most betters will be American and vote for the national team but its still nice to be favored.
This game is definitely a pick em.
+135 US +200 Ghana now.
Heavy money on the Americans.
Theres no way in hell I would ever bet on the USANT in any game.
me either
Wait... I don't get these odds. We can't both be underdogs (the implication of the positive lines) when there is no possibility of a tie. Do these odds exclude PKs and call a match that goes to PKs a "tie?" Otherwise it seems to me that at these odds you should be laying money on BOTH sides.

As far as betting odds go, the game can tie. The score at the end of 90 minutes (plus stoppage time) is the official end of the bet. Therefore, you can bet on the tie.
Actually, I think for these bets it is the result at the end of 120 minutes for the draw
The British books have this USA 7/4 Ghana 15/8 and the draw after 120 23/10
Asamoah Gyan is the favortite for first goal scorer at 11/2 Donovan to score first is 15/2 Dempsey is 8/1.

A 1-1 draw is 5/1 While USA or Ghana winning 1-0 is 11/2

USA leading at half time and leading at full time is 10/3 Ghana leading at half and full is 15/4
That makes a lot more sense. I suppose there's a lot more experience with oddsmaking to include draws than there is to do so with PKs.

Thanks.
A game that goes to penalties is technically a draw in the record books. It goes in the books as "Team A drew with Team B; Team B advanced on penalties.

Different books use different schemes when it comes to soccer betting. The one I use is after 90 minutes.

On a related note, is overtime sudden death in soccer squid?
Odds to advance are:

USA -113
Ghana +106

Only in college soccer. In professional soccer, it's two halves of 15 min. extra time, and if it's still tied, it goes to penalties. If it's not tied after the 30 min., game's over.
Ghana can't score unless it's penaltis, if we can score a goal in normal time, I think we win the game.

...and as long as they don't call a bogus penalty like they did in '06

Overtime is no longer golden goal. The full 30 minutes is played regardless of the amount of goal scoring. If the game is tied at the end of 30 then it goes to shootout.
Can someone explain how the moneyline works?
Simply put...a postive live such as +135 means you'll make $135 for every $100 bet. On a negative such as -150, it's inverted. You'll make $100 for every $150 bet. Bigger the underdog, higher the moneyline. I had Slovakia over Italy the other day at +550
