Quote:LINDSAY'S LOSER: Hats off to Alabama-Birmingham's game 24-17 loss at No. 6 Oklahoma Saturday night. And with the defeat, Blazers coach Watson Brown moves to 91-143-1 in his 21 seasons as a head coach. Folks, that's the most losses of any current NCAA coach _ at any level.

If Brown, 56, really wants to build UAB into a BCS power, Amos Alonzo Stagg's NCAA record of 201 losses is well within reach. Let the countdown begin.

Ugh.
It will never happen, at least not while at UAB. Reason? It would take about 8-9 more years of losing 8 games a year. At that rate, UAB won't have a football team in 8-9 years if WB is still here. Why? There wouldn't be 1500 fans at LF and the sponsorship $ would run dry.
What is Watson Brown trying to prove, we do not want this to be a Murray situation. Its not like we cannot get high caliber athletes like say a Samford. We have talent. I'm getting tired of the moral victories. Watson has done a fair job in building but we need a coach who believes every day and every game that we will defeat the other team, not one who publicly doubts the team and makes stupid decisions.

I think Watson will make a hard decision about his future after having a successful campaign, and win a bowl game. And then he will leave the program in the fine and capable hands of.....

Who knows?

Here's to a B'ham bowl win and the end of the Watson Brown era!
