I've been to a half dozen Dynamo games. A great time....especially if you sit on the Hispanic End. I realize the soccer isn't the highest quality but at that time Houston still had Ching, Holden, DeRosario, and Ricardo Clark. Also, CBHS's own Richard Mulrooney was on that team.

I've been to a half dozen or so San Jose matches, 1 FC Gold Pride match, and a Barcelona/Chivas match. My whole family loves going to the games and they all get excited over them.

I've got tickets for the Tottenham/Earthquake friendly in July. It was my father's day present...My wife and kids are awesome.

MLS matches are fun to go to, and the soccer ain't all terrible.

I'm jealous about the Spurs/Earthquakes game. I'm trying to go to see Spurs when they play Sporting Lisbon up in New York, but I don't think its gonna happen.

Throw a COYS out for me at the game.
Forget changing the commercials or offsides. Can we do something about all the flopping? I like soccer OK, but the acting is one thing I really hate.

The only way to end flopping is to review film of each game and handout stiff penalties to the offending party. The subjectivity makes that near impossible in terms of consistency especially with FIFA involved.

Increasing offensive opportunities doesn't necessarily mean soccer will take off in this country.

If you think "football" is too confusing you could just say Association Football (or soccer for short). But calling a British export "futbol" in order to distinguish it from Amercian football seems kind of silly. Especially since Association Football is hardly the only code played in the United Kingdom anyway.

I only called it futbol to throw in some Spanglish. That's all.

When I grow up, I want to be an Aussie Rules football referee.

I know. I just have to accept that it's part of the game, just like the frequent referee mistakes. Flopping is the hardest thing for me. We Americans aren't used to it, because you just don't see flopping in American football or baseball. You see it some in basketball, but not much and it's usually easy for the referee to detect.

As an American, I am proud that we rarely do it.....and if we do, we don't roll around on the ground like a baby.
