The GA pipeline starting?

Gunna need more scholarships for 11'. Filling up fast.
also had another sec offer from miss state.

how many wrs are they looking to take this class?

rivals has him at 3 stars and a 5.6 rating.

sounds like another good pickup
Yeah we were talking about this on the Shaq Washington thread.

My guess would be they'll only take 1 more WR, maybe 2. AJ Jordan? Shaq Washington? Whoever is the first to commit out of those 2, or maybe they'd take both still.

Numbers are low for this class. A guy like Tyler Williams may already be out of luck as far as his offer goes with some of the surprise commits UC has gotten.
UC football secures commitments

The Enquirer is teaming up with Bearcatlair.com to update you on the latest University of Cincinnati recruiting news. Check out Bearcatlair.com for the latest updates. Here's today's update from writer Tim Adams:

The University of Cincinnati football program has secured a verbal commitment from Withrow’s defensive tackle Brandon Mitchell and added a second verbal commitment from wide receiver Alex Chisum of Sandy CreekHigh School in Tyrone, Georgia.

Mitchell spurned offers from nine other schools to verbally commit to the Bearcats while Chisum turned down BCS programs like West Virginia, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisville and Mississippi State to cast his lot with Cincinnati.

The Georgia wideout had unofficially visited Cincinnati in late April to attend Bearcat Bowl IV and returned to the Clifton campus on Wednesday to take part in coach Butch Jones’ camp. But this time the Peach State standout didn’t leave the Clifton campus without giving his verbal pledge to become a Bearcat.

“I had been there so many times, and Coach Weist (UC receiver coach) and I toured the campus and had a long talk about the offense and where I fit in. I had time to work with him in camp, and he showed me all the things I could do and work on so I committed.”

Chisum estimated this was his fourth or fifth unofficial visit to the Queen City.

The senior-to-be was part of an outstanding receiving corps last season that included Jarrett Davis (Louisville signee) and Devon Hughes (Buffalo signee) as the Fighting Patriots captured their first (AAAA) Georgia state championship in posting a 14-1 record. 5A is the highest division in Georgia.

The 6’ 2, 183 pounder also talked about Coach Jones’ reaction to his news.

“He was really happy for me and wanted me to try and stay focused because he knows a lot of other schools will come after me now. He said he’d keep my scholarship and lock it away. He wants me to be part of the family.”

The Georgia star is the first of what is expected to be three wide receivers in Cincinnati’s 2011 recruiting class.

The Bearcats also hosted an unofficial visit from one of the most coveted running backs in the country when Jameel Poteat from Bishop McDevitt High School in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania stopped by the Clifton campus with his father.

The 5’ 11, 204 pound Poteat rushed for over 1,300 yards as a junior and has an offer list that includes Cincinnati, Florida, Notre Dame, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, Tennessee, USC, West Virginia and many others.

Mitchell and Chisum become the fourth and fifth players to verbally commit to the Bearcats.

Good recruiting article. Would really be nice to land a RB like Poteat.
