The dome is up and ready for action at Eastern Michigan.

EMU cuts ribbon on new indoor practice facility
congrats! looks good.. seven months is quick!
Looks fantastic!

That should help EMU receive a bid to the MAC East...
Congrats, that's awesome news for EMU.

It seems like everyone(myself included, for a while) wants to pick on eastern for not supporting athletics. The truth is that Eastern is far from the bottom of the barrel in terms of football budget in the MAC. And obviously their facility upgrades have been huge.

There are certain schools in the MAC with little interest in funding football. Eastern isn't one of them.
With 100 parking spaces you could accommodate most EMU football crowds should you have to move a game indoors due to lightning or something. 03-wink

Nice reconstruction of the Hindenberg.
I was in the IPF last month, as an uninvited guest. A friend works at EMU and we went by, the door was open, so we went in. Very nice facility, and much bigger looking on the inside than it is from outside.

The guy in charge of construction stopped to close the building up and discovered us testing out the turf. Very nice gentleman, didn't threaten to kick us around.

EMU has very nice athletic facilities and it is a shame that the students and alums don't support the teams. I guess that is what you get with a commuter school.
I am a secret EMU fan. There, I said it, and I feel LIBERATED!

Go Hurons!

You know, the more I look at this photo, I can't decide whether the guy wearing the Milk Man/Prison Guard outfit really is, Tim Allen!

Apparently we have a lot of "secret" fans.
Congrats! I do hope though that NIU waits until it can put up a permanent structure, not a fan of the balloon building.
Nice facility. We have a similar facility in Youngstown for area golfers called the Creekside Golf Dome. Youngstown State is currently building a $10.7 million indoor practice facility which is set to be completed by November 30th of this year. Here are some renderings:

Why would we want to do that lol? We aren't even satisfied with 6-5 seasons here, we expect championships. You guys have little to be jealous about, other than your basketball program which is far and away better than YSU's.
Ugly as hell. It is functional, but that is about it. I would have put the 4 mil towards a real facility.
