Quote:Temple’s Mid-American Conference opener with Central Michigan has been moved to Thursday, Sept. 9. The game will kick off at 7 p.m. at Lincoln Financial Field before a national television audience on ESPNU.

ESPNU? On a Thursday? That kind of sucks. It should be a good game though.

This is more ESPN than the Owls ever had as a member of the Big East...
I would guess so since I ened up listening on teh radio for many many years...
Does a decent station in Philly pick up the ESPN Plus games or is it a CW type station where the average fan will have to find the games accidentally.
Thursday night primetime... unlikely ABC prempts the fall line up for owls football... so its the WB CW whatever...
Thursday night is the ESPNU game. I was asking about the Saturday afternoon games that the MAC farms out to ESPN regional TV. In the past, Cleveland's ABC has picked up the games, though, they have cut off the end to get to the start of the 3:30 game on occasion. In Columbus, though, those games are on the CW that nobody watches. Worse yet, in 2008 we missed most of those games due to a contract dispute that kept the channel off most cable systems for much of the fall.

If a top Philadelphia station picks up those games, you could get a lot of casual viewers. If a rarely-watched cable station picks them up, just the diehards who don't attend the games will watch.

I watched a lot of MAC football this past fall on CW and loved every minute of it!

Good for the Owls, good for the MAC.

I believe My PHL17 picks up those weekend MAC games.

Not very difficult for the average fan to find, since many of the Phillies games are on this channel.

Good.
Oh, did we mention that LeFevour has one more game of eligibility? Is it okay if he wears his Bears' jersey September 9?
