Personally, I have really enjoyed the two guy working the Ivory Coast/Portuagal match. They are the same tandem that worked the Italy/Paraguay match....Ian Darke and Efan Ekoku

I vote for Darke/Ekoku too. The assessment at the half today between Portugal/Ivory Coast was, like Bob Ley kept mentioning, brutally frank. I enjoy the nuances the British announcers use when calling play-by-play. Like today during the Ivory Coast game Darke said someone, "dribbles through only to find a cul-de-sac awaiting him there."
Harkes is a huge dork. Really kills the vibe with 4 word sentences. There should be only english or foreign commentary on ESPN because Lalas/Harkes/etc are F'n horrible.
I cringe when seeing Bob Ley and Tirico talking about soccer....
I liked the Euro2008 coverage much better. Lower key and Disney didn't have to send "their best" (which to me is their worst) for soccer coverage they have no clue over.
Some of the commentators in this World Cup are a reason I hope soccer never becomes mainstream. Can you imagine Scott Van Pelt or Stuart Scott highlighting a soccer match? Ugh.
Of course, I would love some more matches to be shown on ESPN here, but there would be consequences.
