Mexico looking much better since that 3-1 loss to England.
Quote:"We've been up in the mountains for 10 days, we arrived here this morning and we were up against a team in much better form than us -- you can't analyze this game based on anything else," Lippi said. "The players told me their legs felt very heavy."

Honestly, this is only an excuse that will work in soccer.

Better "form." I agree that "form" has something to do with it all, but good lord, where is the responsibility for doing a poor job?

Soccer results to me at times is inexplainable how one teams loses to another. Look at the England getting upset by the US MNT in 1950 World Cup or Colombia losing to the US in 1994 World Cup as well. Cameroon in 1990 is a good example of this as well. Sometimes the better team beats the better team on paper in the end.
1- Mexcico has a pretty good team

2- It was an exibition game

I am not saying that Mexico cannot beat Itlay in the real thing, but it is a lot less likely

I do agree with you that I do not think El Tri would be Italy in a World Cup game, however sometimes one day a worse ranked team can beat a better team on paper. Even in the Super Bowl or World Series or even in NCAA March Madness, sometimes the best time does not win in the end.
