Predict wins and losses for all nine teams. Lets also have discussions about each game, repective teams should chime in.

*T designated a toss up.

Arkansas State at Auburn (L)
Florida Atlantic vs UAB (T) --- both teams lose their star QB's.
Florida International vs Rutgers (L) --- Could be wrong, would like to know more about what each team brings back.
Louisiana at Georgia (L)
Middle Tennessee vs Minnesota (T)
North Texas at Clemson (L)
Troy vs. Bowling Green (W) --- Troy is 19-0 in home openers.
ULM at Arkansas (L) --- The Razorbacks are a perfect 26-0 against sunbelt teams
Western Kentucky at Nebraska (L)

I would expect that Middle Tennessee will be favored against Minnesota and win by a couple of scores. The rest:

Well, beat a MAC team first (what was troy's record against the MAC last year????) and then I'll buy your prediction...

That's a good point, but Troy's never lost a home opener under Larry Blakeney (19-0), I don't expect that to end now, especially when bowling green goes on the road without their star quarterback and star (record breaking) wide receiver, Freddie Barnes.

19-0 > 0-2, IMO

Let me break this down for you, being my opinion of course...
1) Win every game you can
2) If you can't win them all, win as many as you can
3) Win all your conference games
4) If you can't win them all, win as many as you can
5) If you are fortunate enough to make a bowl game, win
6) If you lose, relish the experience and don't be upset if
people butt in when you make an off-handed remark to a
middle state fan because he made one...

That's in a nutshell, but I pretty much feel that way...

Sorry, as an FAU fan, I do not know what it is like losing a bowl game, 2-0!!! 04-cheers
I can't believe no one's picking us to bring home a W in week 1.

I predict a sell-out for our season opener v. Rutgers. 02-13-banana

Were already proud, FAU is all over the Record books already.

Fastest to Div 1A win
Fastest to make a bowl game
Fastest to WIN a bowl game.
Head coach holds the highest unblemished record in bowl games (6-0)

Ill call over to the Record book department and see if theres room for Troy, maybe something along the lines of consecutive most frustrating bowl losses? 05-stirthepot

Well, some of us like Troy had to work for it, all the way up from DII, where the climb was much more difficult. You guys were granted a few transition years with automatic entry into division 1. While everyone was working their butts and sweating, you guys were given D1 status.

Kind of like the older brother that had to pay for his own car at 16, and his little brother gets a mustang from his parents. Sure, you have it, and you got to do stuff with it, but the circumstances were much easier. It's almost like comparing business success during the clinton era to a successful business during the great depression: they may have done the same thing, but who had more balls and bragging rights?

But it's a good feat nonetheless, just not as awesome as you proclaim.
maybe some truth to that, but we were not just given bowl games and a championship, we earned them, we could of sat at the bottom of the belt for years and it would of been okay because we were new.

But in 3 years of existence in Div II, we were ranked #4... not given to us!
5 years in the FBS (4 eligible for a bowl) we went bowling twice AND WON BOTH... not given to us!

The only thing given was the opportunity to move up, we had to develop on our own and earn the achievements that we did.

GO OWLS!!!04-cheers

Yeah, I agree, I wasn't discrediting the entire thing, just pointing out that you had some things a little easier than the rest of the country. Sure you were the quickest to do a lot of things, but how many teams were given automatic FBS status?

But hey, I agree, they're very good accomplishments, hopefully the new stadium will further that along 04-cheers
