I'm probably a little older than you but I can remember UofL fans visiting Big East program fan sites campaigning for a place in The Big East. The reception there was usually less than cordial. There wasn't a place like this to openly discuss conference expansion. With that being said I welcome the opinions of CUSA fans here. I still haven't forgot where UofL came from. The truth is this would be a boring, and unrealistic, expansion board if CUSA fans didn't post here. A few Temple fans and a bunch of smug Big East fans opining for BC, Penn State and Maryland to join the conference.

I don't think any of the BE posters are smug. All we care about is seeing the BE become the best it can be. We just want what's best for the BE. But there are a few smug posters on here that have their bags "packed" for the Big XII and wouldn't mind leaving behind their BE brothers....

Probably because they see the writing on the wall. Just maybe the Big East isn't worth preserving and the football schools should seek better homes elsewhere.

It is because we are all insecure, and worried that the BE will see the only candidate that makes sense for a North east conf. Buffalo.

Why not?

C*USA teams are the most obvious expansion candidates, so it is logical that they would visit this board for discussion. I haven't read anything I would consider rude or out of line from them, and other than some of the Southern Miss fans, most of them seem fairly realistic about their chances.

Maybe because CUSA schools are candidates for BE expansion, and they come to this board to read about expansion and see negative things written about their university, and feel the need to defend their school. And quite frankly, they should defend their school.

Perhaps smug was too harsh a word. Unrealistic is probably a better one. Big East fans that think PSU, Maryland, BC or any other BCS program is going to join this clusterf*ck are only slightly less delusional then the roundball eggheads in The Big East office. Which brings me back to my original point: CUSA fans are here discussing expansion because they know when and IF the Big East ever gets off its a$$ and does expand that chances are good at least one team will be from CUSA. Depending on how many teams, it could be even more.

As for having bags packed....every program in this conference would jump to another BCS conference if they called. Not just those mentioned as part of The Big 11's expansion plan. With our present conference leadership that situation deosn't look to change.

3 of the current 8 Football Programs in the Big East were most recently members of....anyone? anyone? CUSA!!!

The person is a Louisville fan so he or she is not the brightest apple in the bunch but if fans from C-USA schools did not come on this board, it would be totally mute.
