Komsomoloskaya Pravda, Russia's best-selling daily publication, has an idea: Why not just nuke it?
Could blow a larger hole in the ocean floor. How about this...instead of plugging the leak...siphon the oil...perhaps a pipeline is the answer?

Soft mud instead of rock at the bottom of the gulf. A nuke would run the risk of making matters worse. The BOP has partially closed off the drill pipe so the current leak rate is not the worst case. The top fill technique they are going to be trying is also a risk, still much less than using explosives of any type, due to possible catastrophic casing failure after the abuse the casing has taken over the last month.
