10-2 @ USF Win (Just a gut feeling)
10-9 @ ULM Win
10-23 @ ASU Loss Home team usually wins this one
10-30 vs FIU Win (as usual 05-stirthepot and at craphart for the first time)
11-6 @ WKU Win (Still not ready but getting better)
11-13 vs UL Win (Home filed advantage will help this one)
11-20 vs Texas Loss (See Michigan State answer)
11-27 @ MTSU Loss (MTSU will have momemtum and at home)
12-4 vs Troy Loss (Troy owns us, except for 07)

Id be happy with that result.

Yeah but FAU takes owning UNT to a new level. Weve NEVER lost to UNT even dating back to 2004 when they were THE team in the belt. I remember very clearing going to that game at lockhart and telling the folks around me that this was the best team in the confrence and that we would be fortuante to win. We did and havent looked back.

Dont know why that it but it is. 03-idea

MT imo...

3-1 OOC
6-2 Confrence
9-3 Season

v. Minnesota W (I like the game is at home and MN is coming in with a new QB and some players missing from their defense, will be damn close though, not entirely confident about the W)

v. Austin Peay - W (They will need to "Go Peay" somewhere else)

@ Memphis W (New coach, new QB, new system, I just don't see it coming together enough to beat us...this drops Memphis to 0-3)

@ Louisiana-Lafayette W (May have to depend on Masson early to find their place with a new RB corp and filling the holes in the OL)

v. Troy L (I just can't give MT the nod until it actually happens... 03-hissyfit)

@ Georgia Tech - L (If all goes right we could come into this game 5-0...we have 11 days between Troy and GT, but I think they may just have too much for us... MT would have to play a perfect game...)

v. Louisiana-Monroe W

@ Arkansas State L (Tuesday night in Jonesboro... I see MT losing a Sun Belt game that wasn't expected... imo this is it)

v. North Texas W

@ Western Kentucky W (Lots of unsuccessful "third down thunder" 03-lmfao for the toppers)

v. Florida Atlantic W Senior day, MT will close the home schedule out strong)

@ Florida International W (won't be as easy)
Sat, Sep 04 Bowling Green State Troy (Win)
Sat, Sep 11 Oklahoma State Stillwater (Loss)
Sat, Sep 18 UAB Birmingham (Loss)
Sat, Sep 25 Arkansas State Troy (Win)
Tue, Oct 05 Middle Tennessee Murfreesboro (Loss)
Sat, Oct 16 Louisiana-Lafayette Troy (Win)
Sat, Oct 30 Louisiana-Monroe Monroe (Win)
Sat, Nov 06 North Texas Denton (Win)
Sat, Nov 13 Florida International Troy (Win)
Sat, Nov 20 South Carolina Columbia (Loss)
Sat, Nov 27 Western Kentucky Troy (Win)
Sat, Dec 04 Florida Atlantic Boca Raton (Win)

8-4 Season. Though it feels A LOT more like 7-5. Losing Levi and almost every playmaker on defense, only to have more defensive players either quit or get kicked off makes this a rebuilding year.

So how did I get to a 8-4 season? We'll start with Game 1: BGSU

At the start of last season, BGSU was 8-0 in Game 1's under new coaches - they're now 9-0 in that respect. Troy is 19-0 in Home Openers under Blakeney. He's never lost one since he's been here. The revenge factor will also play a key role. Now, it could be argued that Troy should lose this game based on what the Trojans lose and how their depth chart has been taken down a notch, as game 1 isn't a good time to have inexperience lingering at starting positions. However, Bowling Green loses a lot as well, to include their Record Breaking QB and NCAA Record Breaking WR. Circle this one as a WIN.

Game 2: I'm just not confident Troy will walk into Stillwater and pull off the upset. Circle this as a LOSS.

Game 3: This one could go either way, because it's in Birmingham right after we come back from Stillwater. They lose Joe Webb and from what I hear the rest of the QB's aren't very good. I'm thinking a loss, Troy won last time and might not take them seriously with the Sunbelt opener a week later.

Game 4: After a loss at UAB, Troy will want to take it out on the Red Wolves. The Red Wolves have a decent QB in Butterfield, but replacing Corey Leonard and Reggie Arnold will be no easy feat. They come to Troy on the road. I think Troy takes this one. Troy sits at 2-2.

Game 5: This is the most important game Troy plays, but it's not in Troy's favor. Middle Tennessee has what should be the best team they've ever had. Troy gets a week and half to prepare, but so does Middle Tennessee. ESPN will be there and the house will be packed, expect the Blue Raiders to be pumped for the biggest game of the last ten years. There's a lot of build up payback waiting to happen. I think this is the year Middle Tennessee finally turns the corner.

Game 6: Louisiana. Troy gets another week and a half to prepare and will either get discouraged and come out flat, or they'll be pissed and want to beat the piss out of Louisiana. I've seen both. The extra time off will allow them to put the loss behind them, at least in my mind. Very winnable game. Then a BYE week for the Trojans. Strange schedule set up...

I'll do games 6-12 later.

8-4 Season. Though it feels A LOT more like 7-5. Losing Levi and almost every playmaker on defense, only to have more defensive players either quit or get kicked off makes this a rebuilding year. (TROY returns the top receivers, top 2 RBs, and 4 OLs...LBs were solid backups, DEs will be fine, DT is a question mark because of lack of experience, but NT is solid also. Secondary will be much better this season)

Game 2: I'm just not confident Troy will walk into Stillwater and pull off the upset. Circle this as a LOSS. (Not an automatic loss because they are returning 4 on O & D each and breakin' in a 26 y/o QB)

(NOT gonna happen...poor logic on your part)

There's a lot of build up payback waiting to happen. I think this is the year Middle Tennessee finally turns the corner. (Again, they don't get the win because the passing game isn't what TROY beats them with, so no Levi isn't the deal breaker. The ground game has buried them the past 3 yrs and most of those RBs are on the roster...PS...Hampton has a W against them 03-shhhh)

Game 6: Louisiana. Troy gets another week and a half to prepare and will either get discouraged and come out flat, or they'll be pissed and want to beat the piss out of Louisiana. I've seen both. I basically feel the same way, but I also feel like there will be a game somewhere in there that we lose that we shouldn't. Hoping for 10-2, looking realisticallyfor 8-4. Keep the koolaid away from me this year please.
