2 recruits committed to Pitt today to bring out list up to 3.

3* QB Gary Nova(Don Bosco HS in NJ)

As a junior, Nova threw for over 1,600 yards, along with 23 touchdown passes and just three interceptions.

3* C/G Artie Rowell(Central Dauphin HS in Harrisburg PA)

You guys are killing us 03-hissyfit

(It's 'Rowell' and 'Dauphin' btw 03-wink)
UC currently has two commitments. Both had multiple offers from BCS schools and are rated 3 stars by Scout. They include:

Patrick Coyne (QB prospect) Selected UC over Boston College, Illinois, Minnesota, Louisville, West Virginia and Wisconsin.

Justin Murray (Offensive line prospect). Selected UC over Indiana, Louisville, Illinois, Minnesota.

UC also got a late commit for this year's class. He is Ty Phillips, a defensive line prospect, who selected UC over Michigan State, Kentucky, and was getting serious interest from Virginia Tech and Ohio State. He will be on the UC campus in May after he graduates from prep school.

Coach Jones expects to be done with recruiting at the end of the summer. Interest in UC football by blue chip prospects has never been higher.

Evidently, this kid can flat out play. Very athletic. In the mold of Collaros and Ben Mauk.
Thats good sh1t for real. I honestly love the way Collaros plays man. I wish that dude the best.

We'll trade Pitt a QB prospect for one of your stud running backs.

On second thought, I think we will keep Mr. Collaros, and our QB prospects. You can never have too many QB's.
This isn't related to football, since WVU has no commits for the 2011 season yet. But Huggs may have added another recruit to WVU's 2010 class in 6'7" Kyle Cain, from the New Hampton School. Cain has graduated, gotten the test scores needed to qualify for Division 1 basketball, and appears to be ready to commit to play for the next 4 years in Morgantown...
Patrick Coyne is apparently going to be invited to the Elite 11 camp in California.

I like Coyne, kid is a gamer.

How many 'ships do you guys have for 2011? Philly area SG/WF Aaron Brown is likely down to Temple or WVU.

Flowers, Mazzula, Thoroughman, and Casey Mitchell use up their eligibility next year. That will free up 4 of 'em...

Mazzula may stick around in Morgantown though. Huggs might hire him as a GA after his career at WVU ends...
Coach Strong and UL is at 12 commits

Scout rankings
4 star = 1
3 star = 7
2 star = 3
NR = 1

How many scholarships does Louisville have available this year? Strong signed a huge class last year.
UCONN got zero commits so far. Then again, Edsall does not talk to these recruiting services and he does not let them know who he is recruiting. Recruiting rankings mean nothing when it comes to UCONN as it has been proved over and over again.

I'd argue that UC is a better example of that, SF.

I'd argue that Florida proves that recruiting ranking just might mean something. 05-stirthepot
