It looks as if Kent should win the event overall with the 2 wins in Baseball and winning the women's track and field. With only 2 matchups left one in baseball today and one in football this fall. Kent now leads 12.5 to 6.5 and should be presented with the award during the home men's basketball game this fall. Good job to both schools and I hope they can find a way to continue this and promote it better.

Kent was going to do something like this with Akron but decided against it. The reason was along the lines of wanting to compete with a school that has a chance to win the award. Its bad enough to crush Akron throughout the school year but to add such an award to prove it is just unfair to the poor saps that go there.

volleyball - kent twice
soccer - akron
w cross country - akron
m cross country - kent
w basketball - split
m basketball - kent twice
m golf - kent
w golf - kent
w track - kent
softball - kent 2
baseball - n/a

kent = 11 points
akron = 4 points

So with 4 events left 3 in baseball and 1 football game it would appear that Akron would lose. So all I can say which is our motto over here is "SUCK IT!!!"
