He's been through everything that's being talked about by the current conferences. Grew his conference to 16. Lost 50% of the schools to another conference. Added new teams to stay afloat.

Benson said "four or five schools" have expressed interest in joining the WAC. Such schools could include Cal Davis, Cal Poly, Montana, Sacramento State, Portland State and Texas State.

"Anything west of Ruston, La. is considered in the WAC (geographic) footprint," Benson said.

On the BE expansion board there are 10,000 threads that are basically the same. Don't worry man.
Main thing to remember about WAC16. A core group of schools were unable to get things done so that they could annually play rivals they considered essential to play every year. The SEC and ACC dealt with that with permanent rivals. The Big XII had only one key rivalry and chose to let OU-Nebraska slide out of the limelight.
