The NCAA has released their public recognition awards, based on the APR, for the 09-10 season.

Here are the MAC programs that were recognized:

Akron: Women's Cross Country, Women's Tennis, Women's Volleyball
Ball State: (none)
Bowling Green: Women's Tennis
Buffalo: Women's Swimming
CMU: Men's Cross Country
EMU: Women's Tennis
Kent State: Men's Baseball, Women's Cross Country
Miami: Men's Cross Country, Men's Golf
NIU: (none)
Ohio: Women's Volleyball
Toledo: Women's Volleyball
WMU: Men's Basketball, Women's Tennis
Oh NIU Athletics, how will you dissapoint me next? Let me count the ways......
speaking of disappointing, did anyone else notice the story about this on the MAC Web site? The headline touted nine MAC programs that got mentioned. Funny, when i counted it, there were 10! good going, MAC Web site writer!!! LOL
The full APR has been released.

The following MAC programs will receive penalties:

Ball State men's basketball (APR of 863) - practice reduction (historical), public notice (historical)
Toledo men's basketball - scholarship reduction: 2 (immediate), public notice (historical)

That's it. No penalties for football for any school, no public notices, nothing.

Here are the average APR scores for each school (taken by averaging individual APR scores for each sport at a given school).

Akron - 969.947 (19 sports)
BSU - 964.947 (19 sports)
BGSU - 963.278 (18 sports)
UB - 969.250 (20 sports)
CMU - 966.813 (16 sports)
EMU - 965.619 (21 sports)
KSU - 973.278 (18 sports)
Miami - 980.556 (18 sports)
NIU - 972.706 (17 sports)
Ohio - 968.063 (16 sports)
UT - 961.125 (16 sports)
WMU - 977.063 (16 sports)

Temple - 952.261 (23 sports)
Noteworthy for Toledo fans is that our football program is now at 934 APR. The APR has gone up over 40 points since Tim Beckman took over as head coach.
