They got recruited by Hobbs to catch a team who drove fast cars that was trying to steal something that was of interest to the federal government. That doesn't make them federal agents, that make them drivers for hire.

Good point.. Let me rephrase.. They go from being international criminals to working for a federal agent.
nightcrawler. wow. jake gyllenhaal (wish i had a last name like that) was so sweet. didn't know he had it in him. now, he's f*cking cerebral. this is the film for all those rubberneckers, you pieces of sh!t. the film rocked

unbroken. way to branch out angelina. i would never watch this unless the lady wanted to. it's right up her alley. these films are all the same, but thankfully they're usually pretty good. unbroken's that story about the man against all odds and fights them and it's a happy ending. the guy's story is incredible, i'll give him that and it's a story worth sharing
Just saw Avengers: Age of Ultron, and...yeah.

I'm going to watch this a few more times.

Great.

If you have even an inkling of what you're getting in to when you watch the movie, then you'll love it. If you're highfalutin, then you'll turn up your nose at it and bemoan it.

It's well over two hours, and it was actually supposed to be longer. I honestly didn't feel the running time, but I did feel the cuts. There's supposed to be a Director's Cut when it comes to home media, and it will be mine.
Doing Ultron tomorrow... who knows... might double dip tonight ... just because .... I got paid today LOL.

Went back to the Avengers animated series and watched its Ultron 2 parter. It could be interesting for comparison's sake.

It wasn't "quite" as good as the first one but it was good none the less. I might would like to see that Director's Cut and what they fill in. I felt some of the characters and their interactions got cut short in some areas. I did like the stuff with Scarlet Witch digging into Black Widow's beginnings...I found that fascinating.
Wheldon said they completely cut out Ms. Marvel's part in the movie. He felt it would have been a little much to add her, Vision, Scarlet Witch, and Quicksilver in the same movie. I expect that she will be introduced in either the Guardians of the Galaxy or Cap's next movie.
I saw it. I thought it was good. I felt the dialogue was better in this one than in the first one. The action at times seemed a little too fast with the fight scenes (ala Man of Steel).. Now that could've been because when I watched it Friday night it was either A. In 3D or B. I was exhausted after a 12 hour day and went to the 1015 viewing.

There were a couple of things they could've done to make it a little more realistic in a couple of scenes.

I agree on the flashback for Black Widow. I felt that in the 1st one they didn't focus on her or Hawkeye much, and in this one they did.

I watched last week's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D last night.. **Spoiler**

Looks like it'll tie in with the new movie as well..

I felt the problem was that the first Avengers was a movie of convergence of the Phase I Marvel Universe. Avengers: AoU is more of a divergent film to start Phase III. They spent an inordinate amount of time trying to phase out the original line up, introduce new members and drop hints for upcoming movies that the Ultron story-line was IMO pointless.

They should just give Captain Marvel her own movie. It's the only way people will be happy.

Not sure about all your statements but...

Ultron in the commercials felt way more sinister than the version I actually saw in the movie. He wasn't "Evillll (Dr. Evil voice over)" enough. I don't mind the cast expanding... but considering Ant Man, Wasp( I believe that was her name), and Black Panther being no shows? Especially when Thor has a new one coming and they have yet to figure out how to do Hulk "right."

*********************

November Man / NF
--Not a bad Brosnon in James Bond mode spy thriller. I did like some of the tie ins they made happen even though I felt some of the Russian guy's motives could have been brought to light better.

Sin City: A Dame to Kill For / BR
--had everything the first Sin City had except the heart/"the thing."

You Only Live Twice / dvd
--Great bond movie IMO. Really liked how he went Japanese to catch the villain.

The World Is Not Enough / dvd
--One of Brosnon's better Bonds. I wish they hadn't of made Denise Richard's character so ..... yeah.

Days of Thunder/ BR
--A pretty decent NASCAR flick. I kind of wished they had done more with Cruise learning the car lingo as it were.

Talladega Nights/ dvd
--one of my all time favorite comedies.

She's getting her own movie in Phase 3. I'm looking forward to it because Carol Danvers is one of my favorite characters, with Kamala Khan and Monica Rambeau right behind her.

I'm fine with no Ant-Man for now, and I doubt we get Wasp, although it would be nice if we did. Black Panther is getting introduced proper in Civil War, so that should be fun. I think we got a lot to get him riled up in AoU, with Stark and Hulk basically demolishing Johannesburg.

Just that they spent so much time trying to set up phase 3 that age of Ultron lacked a story worth telling IMO. Widow and Hawkeyes little side story might have been better told in Agents of Shield. Neither advanced the plot in my opinion. And it was hard for not to hear Ultron lines and not think Reddington (and why give Ultron an articulating mouth).

I think Hulk is going to fall into FF territory in that it will be impossible to tell a compelling story about either in film.
For those who've watched both Avengers and now we await the next Capt. America movie.. Has anyone else noticed the tension between Stark and Rogers?

Its been brewing since Avengers 1.

Stark: my dad and a mad scientist made you, I made myself

Cap: Your ways don't work with a team..... a team involved in war/combat

I guess its the dynamic they want to play...and to some degree the same concepts have played out in the animated series to varying degrees even though Ant Man's ideology comes into play more in the animated stuff.
