Auburn's signing of that top player in Alabama High School got them some notice in the newspaper.... What are we doing??? Any insights from knowledgeable sportsfans among us?? Did we try to recruit that fellow too?? I didnt see UAB listed among the schools that showed serious interest in him..
A winning season is great, but so is getting some hype during signing season to raise the interest level of our fans and prospective ticket purchasers in the off-season..

Give me the winning over the hype any day.
Kevin is too busy giving Barbee reach arounds to realize that there are other schools in the state.
We have a good nucleus returning next year & we need some big guys as well as another point guard to help AJ.
This guys doesn't fit into our needs for those areas.
He would have been a good sign, but if he doesn't have the grades (& I don't know one way or the other) it would be a wasted scholarship.
If you have to pay AAU coaches to get him as well, it just isn't worth it.
I suspect that when all is said and done that CMD will have us a very good team next year whereas all of the wannabee aubies will still be at bottom of the pack.
Outside of bammer football, the thing that has been the most corrupt in this state is Auburn basketball.

I am certainly no CMD apologist. However, since this kid is a marginal student at best, UAB and CMD could not have taken a chance on him. From what I hear, students of his academic acumen cannot get in to UAB. CMD deserves a definite pass on this kid.

Langford is only the third best player in the state. k T hereel is 3 1 going to UVA and the #2 guy is going to LSU.

Yep K. T. Harrell and Ralston Turner a very good shooter. Both leaving the state.
