This is why you NEVER give Cal the last word/visit. Pitino spends the last 4 years doing everything this kid and Cal puts in 6 weeks work and steals him. The man is hard to beat in recruiting.

I mean Pitinio coached the kids dad, hired the kids AAU coach on his staff, got a series with Butler so the kid could play a game in his hometown, etc.

Cal STILL gets him. That's crazy. I know he got Wall even though Baylor got Clifton, but this is Rick Pitino we're talking about.

That's like, say Jarnell Stokes (since AT has had so much attention lately), having close family ties to Pastner and Pastner hiring the dudes coach, but Jarnell going to UTK or UK despite that.

Louisville fans have to be taking this hard.

What makes you think he can win with Gilchrist and Teague if he can't even sniff the Final Four with John Wall,DeMarcus Cousins, and atleast 2 other NBA caliber players.

Teague and Gilchrist are 1 and 2 overall and people think Gilchrist is the best in his class this class and maybe one of the best even when you throw in this last class. There is also Wroten and a few other top guys he will have a legit shot of signing. This class will have more talent than his Wall/Cousins class, plus it will have his own bench and not some bench of Hood, Miller, Liggins, and Stevenson.

Boy, that has got to piss off Louisville fans. That's all they talked about on their boards when they realized they were "in" on the kid. And now he chooses UK? That's gotta suck.

You need to blend upperclassmen with froshes if you want to win it all. 1st year players can be rattled...and we saw when UK ran into WVU.

You need to blend upperclassmen with froshes if you want to win it all. 1st year players can be rattled...and we saw when UK ran into WVU.

They should have those needed upperclassmen with this years class (only Knight and Kanter will go pro) and a senior Hood (lol) and Liggins.

Just wait until they sign Q. Miller as well, making it the #1,#2,and #3 player in the same class.

Teague is a 2011. He could still change his mind.

On the Louisville board, according to a Jeff Goodman tweet, they're saying that Lebron made a call to Teague to seal the deal. WOW! How do you stop something like that if it's true. No kid these days is going to turn down Lebron. It just won't happen. No wonder they call Calipari a snake.

I'll say this. If I was a kid who'd Dad played for a coach and I had been courted by that coach my entire life I wouldn't switch commits to a coach that had been in on me for 2 months just because Scottie Pippen called me and told me to play for that guy. Just not my style.

Kid knows he's going to make millions no matter what.

Look at Rose, he didn't sign with Rose and he didn't sign with Nike, he's doing pretty well for himself. He was a WWW guy too.
