I have heard nothing but great things about Dildy, and apparently they are true, considering the great recruits signing with or considering UAB. However, what is his history? His bio shows great results at his previous schools.

Ole Miss - poor basketball tradition - he had the #3 ranked recruiting class
Auburn - poor basketball tradition -
DePaul - two #1 classes, but Depaul is not a major power anymore.

I guess I have two questions from the recruiting gurus:
1. Why hasn't Dildy been snatched up by a bigger school. Is there some baggage way back when, (of which I am sure he reformed and is living clean now ;-) )

2. If he is as successful as he seems to be, what is UAB going to have to do to keep him?

his relationship to CMD...and the bonuses he"ll earn...

I would say Dildy is no cleaner or dirtier than anybody else who recruits at a high level. He is a relentlessly hard worker, from what I have heard, and develops good relationships.

Why is he here? I am going to guess it has something to do with his wife, who is an Auburn gal.

This coming from the shortest male nurse i know...says the guys who dresses up in carpet in front of 1,000s of people...

He was at ole miss before this. Seems he has gone places where he can build a program.

Maybe, out of all the other schools that wanted him, bench space was at more of a premium.
