about this crowd for their Spring game yesterday. One estimated at least 7500 but those familiar with the stadium knows those blue seats hold only 2,000 if filled elbow to elbow. Probably 500 there if that many.
Hope the link works http://www.latechsports.com/view.gal?id=67353
Why are you obsessed with La Tech? If you're truly so upset about taxpayer money subsidizing the athletic program, why aren't you also upset with the athletic programs at ULM, ULL, and the numerous Louisiana schoools in FCS?

ULL and ULM rarely, if ever, and the others never come to this board tooting their horn about their percieved accomplishments in order to project an incorrect image of their program. I personally feel it is inexcusable that schools are being forced to drop programs, fire professors and others, when so much is being spent by those schools on athletic when none of them have a fan base large enough to cover even a small percentage of their cost. La Tech taries to put on the biggest show and took over $8,000,000 in taxpayer funds, ULL took over $6,000,000, ULM took around $5.5 mil, even SE La U who plays at FCS level used around $7.5mil.
There were alot more than that, must have taken the photo before everyone got there. EE your sick obsession with bashing Tech is unhealthy

You bring them up even when they say nothing. Obsession.
Eager Eagle is obsessed with LaTech like Tiger Woods is to porn stars.

As for Spring Game crowds, Eager might want to leave that subject alone. USM went from over 11,000 last year to 4,800 this year. Losing to Sun Belt teams in a bowl game has consequences.
Does it really matter anyway??? Spring Games are way overrated in my opinion and I am not sure what significance they really have. For me they just make me even more miserable waiting for the real thing.
Its a ******* scrimmage, who cares unless your town has nothing else to do.
It's always EE, that bashes Tech. I haven't seen any others that bring up Tech like this.

The USM fans that I talked to that went to the basketball game at Tech had a good time and said that Tech fans were very gracious hosts. Had many Tech fans thank them for making the trip, but were most interested in how many fans they thought USM would bring for the football game next year. USM fans seem to very happy to have the Tech series scheduled. Gives us a a quality 1A opponent that we can easily travel to and is a long time opponent of USM football. Should be fun.

If I were a Uab fan I would keep a tight lip on belonging in the Sun Belt. Especially when there are two Sun Belt teams right in your own state that are chomping at the bit to take your place. It wouldn't be that hard to do

The picture link ee posted has been stuck in my mind. I had heard attendance was good but his picture presented a different situation.

Here's an alternative taken after the game had started:

Looks pretty clear our attendance was just fine. Thanks to LATechbanjo for posting this today.
