Butler and the idea of a 96 team tournament have absolutely nothing to do with each other.

If anything, a 96 team tournament will lead to a 1 seed leaving in the "2nd round" (their first round) because the traditional 16 seeds will be eliminated unless they do some really funky seeding.

we could potentially have brought LAST years NCAA champion and THIS years champion to Bartow.

So you think. I know they pretty much have the 96 team idea in place before this tourney. It's making sure that the "mid majors" don't have as much of a chance to upset the big guys and "mess up the rates".

expanding has nothing to do with mid-majors beating bcs teams. just has to do with more games on t.v. so more money for the ncaa and espn

Go Bulldogs!! The announcers at the end of the Duke game were saying they didn't think Butler had much of a chance against Duke. They have said that for every game that Butler has played so far in the tournament, so I am wonder what they will say when they beat Duke?

Yeah, it seems like just three weeks ago that UTEP over Butler was the popular upset to pick.

Not to mention, "mid-majors" would have won both the NIT and NCAA championships and would have knocked off two BC$ giants to do so.

Anyone think Coach K is consulting with Mike Davis on how to beat Butler?
