Watching and following all the good ncaa teams and high school teams in action in ther respective tournament, I can't help but being impressed with the players and teams. Lots of good players out there. Only wish that EMU would get thier share of good players for next season.

IZZO DOES IT AGAIN - ANOTHER FINAL 4
There are alot of quality Michigan high school players still unsigned. I see on the WMU NCAAbbs board there is an old familiar name ESSSS who may something about who EMU is looking at. They had one thread where they were debating May from Covert. It appears WMU is looking at going the JUCO route as well. I'd rather see EMU get some quality freshmen who will be around for a while.

Looks like Ray McCallum Jr will signed with UofD-Mercy.

My guess it is 50 - 50 that Ernie Ziegler Jr. signs with CMU.

Mid-major hoops in MI could get a real boost.

None of this helps EMU which plays CMU and UDM 3 times per year.
No it doesn't Steve. I see the WMU fans are getting restless with Hawkins who at least as Juwann Howard Jr so far. I'm doing some digging on Barden's eligibility-Steve Bell recently posted he make a great Mott JC recruit. Who knows what Ramsey is doing? We have no recruiting contacts in basketball anymore than we have in football. I believe the signing day for spring is April 12 through May 19. My gut tells me that we may see May from Covert sign with EMU.
this recruiting season UDM and CMU could get blind lucky (both have McDonald's AA coaches sons).

Congrats to both UDM and CMU if they pull off their recruiting bonanzas.

CMU is also recruiting well beside Ziegler Jr.

I'd love to see CMU and UDM really turned their programs around. (I don't tend to have tunnel vision type rooting interests).

I only wish that MacCullum Sr. was back coaching in the MAC.

I'm hoping that the next Butler comes from the state of Michigan.
Mums the word in regards to EMU recruiting, probably all Ramsey's idea. We do know that Ramsey just returned from a recruiting trip in DaLLAS , TEXAS. Probably a big size JUCO player. Also know the staff spent time in Ohio recently. A post on a basketball board indicated the coaches represented at the state of Michigan basketball semis and finals and EMU was not mentioned.

Frankly we probably won't know anything recruiting wise until; well after April 14th. I would hope that the current roster would be cleaned up and that we would be able to sign more than the 3 alloted schollies we seem to have. Definately need a big man and a pg, could also use a shooter/scorer type wing player - missed too many open 3's this past season.

When does the semester end? Anyone hear of any current players leaving the program?
Steve's latest post on coaches son's is right. Hope both McCallum and Zieglar get their sons but hope that this doesn't leave EMU's program i nthe dust.

Ramsey will do all a coach can do: do the best for his program and not worry about what his opponents are doing.
