Playing Georgetown in Providence on Thursday
obviously we'll be a huge underdog but we have nothing to lose and everything to gain. you never know what's going to happen! GO OHIO!!
I think Ohio has the most losses of any team participating in this years tourney.

I'm happy with a #14 seed and a Georgetown matchup in Providence so Tim O'Shea can see it.

actually i think i saw at least one team that had 15 losses (East Tennessee State, maybe?). and i love what you said about us playing in Providence! LOL too funny! i heard it's sold out so Timmy might not be able to get a ticket! 03-lmfao
14 is the right spot. OU ended up with the third-best RPI in the MAC. Aside from Kent State or Akron, they were the best "sleeper" to win the tournament for us.

Similar to our run in 05' though that year we picked up a #13 seed with a top 50 RPI.

Ohio finished about tied with Akron for #2 in MAC RPI. The only real upset for Ohio was its victory over Kent State in the Quarterfinals, from that point forward the Bobcats were rolling.

As a 9 seed in the MAC it is hard to think that Ohio would get a good ranking in the tournament. I will be cheering for Ohio and the MAC but Ohio fans can scream at me but Kent State would have gotten a higher ranking and a chance to win. Playing Georgetown will be hard.
POSITIVE- Ohio played WMU tougher than Temple whose higher in the rankings. Play like that you will win no matter who you are playing. EVERYONE counted you out all tournament and KEEP IT ROLLING.

Kent probably would have been a 12 or 13, if they had made it. I doubt it would have made a win much more likely.

I can't name one Ohio fan that thinks they have a better team/program than Kent State or that we could do better than KSU in the NCAAs as the MAC representative.

I can name several Ball State fans who think that their team is better than Ohio by virture of a #8 seed in the tourney vs. Ohio's #9 without taking into consideration Ohio played in a much stronger division and had 5-6 close losses in MAC play.

I'm pulling for the Bobcats. A win over Georgetown is a huge hill, but think of the returns for the MAC. Good luck.
It seems like only yesterday when the Dan Roundfield-led Chippewas defeated Georgetown in the 1975 NCAAs. This was in the early years of the "original" John Thompson, just a few seasons before the formation of the Big East.

AWESOME win for CMU! wouldn't it be nice if we could recapture your magic! 04-rock
Okie, you're like me......if you around long enough (I was at Miami from 74-78), it seems like everything was like yesterday!
I wanted you guys to fail in 2005 to Florida but not this year.

Go Bobkittens, beat Georgetown.
