Congrats to the Bobcats, in three days inside Quicken Loans Arena they defied the odds by upsetting three of the league’s top four seeds. As the #9 seed they are the lowest team to win the MAC tourney.

At 21-14 OU will likely be a 14 or 15 seed and I predict we play whomever they are matched up against very well and take them to the wire.

Next year the Bobcats will be even better with both of Clark Kellog's sons playing.

ESPN Bracket Projections have Ohio as a #14 playing Villanova. First round against Super NOVA is exciting.

I don't think the MAC has ever picked up lower than a #14.

Next year Ohio will have its core returning (Freeman, Bassett, Washington, DJ Cooper). Steven Coleman who was averaging 11 points a game before injury is coming back. Front court players Baltic and Keely will be sophmores. Ohio is adding 3-4 more front court players to add some depth.

Keely started against Akron tonight and will replace KVK next year at the 5 position. KVK's 6pts, 6rbs, will be missed but not his 4.2 fouls a game.
Go Bobcats!
This Ohio team was close all season. The MAC got to see what this team was about. This team is very competitive. The team had its troubles on the glass, but the fought hard to overcome that. This team was a tease early in the season, but as mid February and March came they peaked at the right time. They learned they could play with anyone in the MAC. The just needed to execute better late in games to turn close defeats into victories. They didn't get the easy draw in tournament. Didn't complain about the bubble, the matchups, the time of game or the ease of the other half of the bracket. They just went out and played each game one at a time and won those 4 games. They came to win this tournament not just appear and admire the building.

Pretty sure Ball St was a 15 seed one year against Kansas. I seem to remember Roy Williams saying that Ball St wasn't your typical 15 after the Cardinals gave the Jayhawks a pretty good game.

I would guess that OU would be a 14 seed. Good Luck Bobcats!
Oh well...our best two teams get knocked out and the MAC will perhaps get one of its worst seedings ever in the NCAA. Hard to get excited about that prospect, but you still have to hand it to the Bobcats who got it done when it counted.
