Doesn't Cornell get the autobid if they win? Wouldn't that be good to get them in and not someone else from the IVY league?
There isn't an Ivy league tourney - so the regular season champ gets the at large bid. Cornell has a 2 game lead over Harvard but also has a respectable at-large profile. So the best case scenario for UAB is Cornell winning the league with the most losses possible. That sets up best in case Cornell doesn't win the league - their profile isn't good enough to steal an at large from UAB. Thus, Who2 sees the need for Cornell to lose this game.
Not a good night for us at all.
