Huskie Tailgate Showdown

11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
West side of huskie stadium
Prior to the NIU Spring Football Scrimmage
~COOKS WANTED~.
We are looking for cooks to prepare “sample” size (i.e. one hamburger is 4 samples)
portions of food to feed 400 Hungry Huskie Fans.
We will provide you with:
♦ a table
♦ tailgate area
♦ two parking passes
♦ Four shirts
Winners will be chosen in four categories:
♦ Best Cook (Amateur)
♦ Best Cook (Professional)
♦ Best Tailgate
♦ Best Overall Spirit

There was some good food last year. Too bad it was colder and wet. For $10 you could eat and drink all you want. This is a can't miss for big eaters.

Are entrants from Toledo allowed to participate...

Now this is what I think should be done for one of the early season basketball games as well, with other tailgating dates to follow. But the "Winter Tailgate Showdown" or "Arctic Tailgate Showdown" or whatever it could be called would be cool to see kick the season off. Prizes for students who show up with a ticket. Winter games. Food and Drink. Start the day off like that and how the Huskies fare on the scoreboard doesn't matter so much!
