I would like to ask each of you just how low someone has to go before being considered swine?

I ask you this on the premise that last saturday while visiting the Johnson City mall I saw Dave Mullins doing something that some might consider to be rather swine-ish. While I was in the Spencers in the mall I witnessed David Mullins perusing the back of the store. Anyone that has been to spencers can tell you that that particular section is pretty much 21+ when you consider the over all skankiness factor. Well, the fact that I witnessed Mullins getting all worked up over the ladies lingerie, vibrating Dildos, and other novelty sex toys didn't bother me in the least. What did bother me was that our noble man Mr. Mullins was doing this in the presence of what must of been a five year old child. Sure, Dave Mullins is entitled to his own sex life, in fact I commend him for it. But, what I don't commend him for is bringing a little kid to the store with him to check out sex toys. If you don't understand where i'm coming from then I ask that you try to take a five year old to any number of the sex novelty stores in the area ( point is, kids aren't allowed.) Sure, spencers is a little less scandalous than most sex shops, but truth is, not by a hell of alot.

I'm thinking that perhaps Mr. Mullins has set the bar for the ETSU limbo. 05-nono
God I hope this is true!!
Oh geez
I saw him with my own eyes from about arms length. I couldn't mistake Mullins face, the ETSU bucs hat was a bit of a tip off too.
Just when you think this administration can't be anymore unethical . . .
Wow I can't believe he isn't going to Romantic Escapes. lol. I really really don't believe that Mullins was browsing the adult stuff at Spensers. Somebody is trying to pull one over on us. I also don't see him wearing a ETSU hat. Looks like a troll to me.
I'm hearing Mullins is still in Jacksonville. So it wasn't him.
How long ago was this, Basketball? Was it before the Florida trip?

If Mullins is still in Florida, this could be the reason administrators and support team love the ASun...the free (at least partially) Florida vacations in the dead of winter. We know our beloved play by play man is still down there. He left the job of hosting "Courtside" to John Stevens.
this thread is crossing the line

Agreed. And this is the same guy that said he heard from reliable sources that Stanton was retiring. Basketball, you really need to do your homework.

I've been holding on to this information for a little over a week. I saw him the Saturday before last.

And no I don't think that the thread is what we should be concerned with crossing the line. Perhaps you should ask yourself if the actions of this person are ethical, not wether my sharing them with you are.

There is a difference between the two cases. First of all I saw the man with my own two eyes, secondly it took a lot of persuading for me to come out with this. I'm not trying to throw out any slander, I'm just giving you the cold hard facts. That is what I saw, what did I need to do take a picture with my phone and post it on here.

By the way Mullins was wearing a navy blue hat, with BUCS in gold letters across the front.

and please stop saying that I need to do my homework, it's really getting old. I saw the guy, what else is there to it.
Let's say he did see it...So? I mean it's creepy as ****...but so what?

To get me to believe someone who has posted misinformation in the past and about such a silly subject. Yeah pretty much a picture is the only way I would even remotely think it was true.

I know that its creepy. The only reason that I held it off was because I wasn't sure that it was worth any of your time or interest, Obviously it's not.

I am the unholy giver of misinformation, lord smight me now!!

So what if I posted one thing that turned out to be incorrect, the way I see it I'm 50/50 right now. Now for those of you reading this from your desk in the mini dome quit your yapping. I know what I saw, not that its a huge deal that mullins took a kid into a store that is pretty much known for its trashiness (I guess i'm kind of trashy for being there myself). But hell, even i feel kind of shameful when I go in there. I could only imagine how I would feel if I took one of my nephews in there. I guess that we live in the kind of world today where it is acceptable to expose children to filth. I ask for each of you to go in there for your self and tell me whether or not you would bring a child in there with you.

Let the spin begin!
Perhaps this topic would be better discussed in Sunday school. I shouldn't expect any of you to be moral crusader's, my apologies.
Regardless if it's true or not it's still kind of funny.
Next time take a photo. I would enjoy that a great deal.
Basketball...it's one of those things that if you had visual proof of this then it would be priceless...but you don't and there for it's amusing at best and highly skeptical at worst. That's the nature of life.

If you had an image of it I would pay to put it in the newspaper.
Heck, put it up here.

But as for "who cares?" Let's examine this-

First of all, if you're going to look at sex toys, leave the 5-year-old at home. People have been fired for far less- remember the schoolteacher in Jonesborough who was fired because she had a tape of her having sex left in the VCR?

Additionally, here's a guy who has overseen an athletic department that had previously had almost puritan values. If you work at Hooters, you can't be a cheerleader.

But this act is far worse than anything he's accused others of doing.

In fact, I would say, if true, it is far worse than Mike Price having too much to drink in a strip joint, or Larry Eustachy attending a frat party and kissing a girl with a beer in his hand.

You're arguably exposing a minor to pornography. And not a 17-year-old, A 5-YEAR-OLD!

Twenty years ago J. David Miller put a watch on his radio show asking his listeners to report on their sightings of the Chattanooga AD. What they got him on was minor in comparison- having a three hour lunch with a few beers with friends- for instance.

But six months later the AD retired. The perception was he was loafing too much.

A similar watch on here might get the changes at ETSU we want.

If you've got a camera on your cell phone, I think it would behoove us to keep our eyes peeled, not shoot the messenger.

I'll say this for BasketballThenHomework, he's putting his board handle beside the allegation. This is more than what Brian T. Smith did when he wrote ETSU was looking to fire Mullins, yet had no quotes or evidence to back it up.
