Finally, the mens bball team won a game! While this season has been tough, it still feels good to get a win! Congrats to the players! They deserve to feel the joy of victory! GO ROCKETS!!!!
EMU appreciates UT tonight!
Congrats to the Rockets.I watched the game. We need some work on the press. Also need to get better shots when trying to run the shot clock down.
DO YOU BELIEVE IN MIRACLES?!?
Congrats to the team. A little joy in a grey, tough winter. Enjoy it without reservations.
Satan is sitting on an ice cube right now. LOL
They're warming up for the MAC tourney.
now we just gotta ride this win through the mac tourny and into the ncaa tourny 03-wink
It would be absolutely hilarious to sweep the tourney and get an NCAA bid. I think I would pinch myself just to make sure I was awake.
Anyone else ownder about the coaching last night? I HATE playing to not lose. In the first half we were choking the life out of BSU defensively and setting up to shoot at our end with about 12-15 seconds on the clock. We got thirty at half.

Second half we weren't looking to shoot until clock was at ten or less. The closeness of the final was predictable-BSU was almost guaranteed to close the gap since we were making no effort to run an offense. When Griiffin took what BSU gave us we got scores earlier in the shot clock that positioned us ti win- if he had pulled up on theat fastbreak and waited out the clock I feel certain we would have lost.
The moon, planets and all the stars must have been in alignment!!!!!!

I don't know how much of it was coaching and how much of it was the players becoming tentative on their own (not unexpected given the losing streak) - but I agree on the net effect. I'm definitely not a fan of the "prevent" offense.

The few times this year that the offense has seemed to be clicking has been when they're able to get the ball inside then either kick it back out or attack the basket from there - which was the case in the first half last night. When Anyijiong, Griffin or Dressler are a threat down low, it opens things up for everyone.
Not able to watch the women's game due to RocketVision not functioning.

Out hosting a concert with Jono Manson and John Popper - they brought the house down.

So great night all around!
thank the universe... sun, moon, stars

good to break the hard and yellowing ice. glad the young men got to end the year at home w a smile on their face (and a decent crowd to witness it).

lots of work to do to become a decent program again. hopefully, we can break the road streak at northern and win a game or two in the mac tourney to end w some momentum
