Game is tonight! Thoughts? Predictions? Smack? What's on your minds fellas?
I just hope the guys are ready to play. This could be a tough game, or we could dominate, you just never know with this team. I'm definitely excited, and hope we can get a win at home tonight. Having lost at FGCU, we really need to win these last two games to get the best seeding possible for the tournament.

By the way, I wish Keaton would get his shot back for these last two games. We could really use his contribution.

This one is going to depend on our defense. If we can hold down the shooting percentage like we have done most of the year, we will win. If we allow them to get easy shots they may take it.

Rebounds, rebounds, rebounds...
If Belmont loses tonight I would be worried. I do not expect Mercer to be sending in Florence for long (if at all). I mean, why bother? He's too valuable in the tournament to risk in this game. Florence was not running at full speed last time out. I have no idea what his plans are though, so we'll see.
This is a pathetic crowd for Belmont. It's sad they have so little fan support after the recent success. If 3 straight NCAA trips and a current 17 win season won't draw fans, what will? Mercer is outdrawing them at 14-14 and not been to the NCAA in 25 years.

Agreed. A few of us are trying so hard to get people out, but this school is just made up of too many tightpants wearing music kids. We'll have a huge crowd on Saturday for Homecoming, but only because it's Homecoming.
They need to wake up and realize what they have! It's been a quality product for several years now. I assume some casual fans take it for granted having known nothing less.

By the way, Belmont was strong from three point range tonight.

Mercerfan, you guys were beasts on the boards last night. It wasn't that the ball just bounced their way, they hit the boards after every shot.

By the way, I agree about the crowds. You wouldn't believe that when Belmont was an NAIA school that a game between Belmont and Lipscum drew around 16,000 at Vanderbilt's Memorial Gym. The team is actually much better now and playing bigger schools and we can't seem to get butts in the seats.

I'm not going to lie. I was at the Vandy-Georgia game tonight, thus one of the problems Belmont has. I am a Bruin Club member and everything, but there is a lot to do in Nashville. I picked my spot. Vandy-Georgia last night and Belmont-Kennesay on Sat. I saw some Belmont folks at Vandy last night too. Plus, unless you read the 4 sized font in the paper, you'll never even know when Belmont plays in Nashville.
