HMMMMM.........now that's intersting. It's just now starting to snow here, very little.
I was outside 45 minutes ago and nothing. Just walked out and the ground already has a dusting and my car is covered in snow (OB).
It's snowing in Cordova as 8:30 pm... It's not sticking yet cause it's only 35 F... It will get colder though.
8:30 pm in Bartlett and it's barely dusting. Because it's been wet all day, it's melting as soon as it hits the ground. The thermometer outside says it's 34 degrees.

From the radar on the Weather Channel web site, it appears the front will be gone in less than an hour.

No need to raid Kroger tonight folks.
The grass is barely covered with snow here and some on the cars. The streets are just wet i think. The temperature is 32 degrees now. It's still just a light snow here just north of u of m campus.

You are right on that front, the other Greg Childers, but some sily people cannot wait another minute if they miss a day without their precious bread and milk. As if the United States were in famine conditions are something to that effect I guess. Go live up in Saint Louis and somewhere where snow in the winter is a weekly occurence, and see if you feel the same way about snow.
There was still some of last week's snow in my back yard.
This stuff marks eight straight days with snow on the ground.
I don't remember that ever happening before.
Nashville received about one inch of snow. Much to my daughter's delight, school is canceled.
My sister-in-law is a teacher for the county. She remarked that it was unfair that rural school districts like Bolton, etc were the reason that every school in the county get cancelled. While the roads may be fine in Memphis, Bartlett, and Germantown, they will cancel all county schools if there is snow out in the more rural areas. They are considering taking part of their spring break away because they've missed so many snow days. Either that, or they'll be going in June. She suggested that they separate the more urban county schools from the more rural county schools and close them on a case-by-case basis. She doesn't want to extend school any further, especially if she and her students could easily get to school just because another school was closed.

I cannot remember a time in Memphis history where the roads were undrivable long enough for people to starve. In fact, I can only remember a few rare occasions where the roads were undrivable for more than two or three days.
