New York Daily News says indirect contact has been made, but Andy Katz refutes it.
I would be pretty surprised if Patino took that job unless the money is just crazy good.

Me too. Look at all the perks he gets, eg a reserved table at his favorite restaurant etc.04-cheers
If there is a god and karma is a real thing, they have to hire Scumbagapari, the absolute $hitstorm pussypause would go into would be something of legendary status.
Isn't the Rick Pitino NBA experiment done yet? Seriously, why would any NBA consider hiring him?
i just cant see, with the Nets and the Knicks both in such disarray, how Cal could not go to one of them next season, with a couple of free agent studs in tow, along with the top draft pick. (yes the knicks will get that)

he has always been pissed about how he got run out of jersey, and it would be a total flipping of the bird to those east coast writers that trashed him the first time around.

the ONLY reason i could see him not going (if Leon Rose got him an offer) would be the coming NBA lockout, and there will be a lockout.

That's what I am thinking, I mean is LeBron close enough to him to say to the Knicks or the Nets, "either hire him or you don't get me?"
The only lock out I've been hearing of is the NFL. And don't the Nets hate Calipari? Didn't they fire him with acrimony last time?

Don't they have a new owner? Like a Russian Oil magnate and isn't it possible Jigga might try to move them to Brooklyn?

yep. i think the move to brooklyn might be on hold. not sure, but yes, a russian billionaire owns the nets. he would be perfect for Cal.
a pseudo-capitalist commie mofo with captain souless for coach.

Yeah, I think on PTI they said the Russian dude's private plane is called "Air F**k One" hahaha, sounds like Scumbagapari and him could really get along.
maybe cal has always been a mole. deep cover type.

sent here years ago to infiltrate the NBA, but had to stop off in memphis for 9 years because people were on his trail.

i have no idea what i am talking about.

Quotable Quotes 03-lmfao
The NBA is too level of a playing field for Cal. He can't use his recruiting shenanigans to get the upper hand like he can in college.

level? what league are you watching? lol.

ther are about four top teams and a pile in the middle and about 10 that really really suck.

cal goes to the knicks, with lebron and the top draft pick, takes cousins, and trades around for a point guard and he will win 45 games right there.

ok maybe an oversimplification, but if Cal takes an NBA job you can rest assured it will be done with all of the pieces in place BEFORE anything gets out. if he is on an NBA sideline, it will be with James at his side.

cal may have the soul of a great white shark, liefeless eyes and all, but he is no dummy

It would be a dream job

I would say that of all the professional coaching gigs, NBA coach has to be the easiest, especially if you have a LeBron type player.

The Nets are bad enough already. God wouldn't do that Jersey.

As for KY, they are more fun to hate with X as their coach. Something will blow up soon enough up there.

...plus you have to draw up plays and call timeouts.

True, they are terrible but if they sign Lebron and get that #1 pick, rather it be Wall or Cousins, thats a dangerous team.
